You don't want to spend the money on a well made set of wheels but you want to dump a ton of money into a brake kit that gives you the "look" of a BBK? Seems a bit off.

If I get wheels that would tpms sensors, mounting is free, shipping cost, and tires. Total of almost 26000 If I get BBk the fronts for ecs it's about 1400 dollars and add another 700 to that for tires plus shipping for both brakes and tires (for my stock wheels) Those were my options. Don't be quick on your feet lol. Now I been looking at the sparco wheels and seems oz is apart of that too (sparco assettoo gara wheels to be exact.) I haven't found any failure threads and the price is good for 17s and tire options for 17s are cheap too (Direzza Zll ) if I go that option then I will consider, pads, rotors, and SS lines and high temp brake fluid. |

Btw enkei wheels aren't exactly bad, they have good reputation and used a lot in racing applications even Berks racing 1 series used them on their track car aswell. Just because it isn't BBS doesn't make them bad lol.

New Year resolutions for the n52 community
Found another 130i race car with ITB. The TB look to be e46.
Source LINK: http://www.brunswickracing.co.uk/projects/ From what I gather from this car and kbirds race 130i this may be possible soon for the regular street n52 if the following is done: - Alpha N tune that fools MAF & intake manifold pressure sensors - Could be achieved with the new open tuning options talked on e90post - Lock valvetronic to make the ITB do the work - Converter plate for ITB - Fuel rail & injector relocation to ITB PS - an interesting race BBK is on this car. Any ideas what brand it is?

Track wheels and street wheels have little to do with each other. Wheels are generally seen by race teams as disposable items. Track surfaces are smooth and consistent, without the bumps and pot holes of daily driving. This is why you will often see someone with a strong forged or well made cast street setup, and then a track setup that consists of lighter disposable wheels like Kosei K1s, LTW5s, Sparco Assetto Garas, and OZ Superleggeras. Sparco wheels are also made in China FYI. My point about the BMW PF BBK is that it provides no performance benefit. You will be able to get out of your car, look at the gold rotors, go "mmm yes", and that will be the extent of it. A proper set of wheels will save significant unsprung weight; improving cornering, grip, braking, acceleration, and ride quality.

What you mean those yellow and blue ones? Personally, I love 'em. Those plates are the best thing to happen to New York in the last 3 years.

Yup the yellow and blue ones, ugliest plates i've ever seen imho. I liked the previous blue and white ones but i got my car right as the new plates came out and i didn't really have an option at the time.

I put on some OZ Ultraleggera 17s with 225/45 General G-max AS03 tires on my 128i, and I really like that set up. I will probably buy some stickier tires when I need some new ones, but I like the fact that I can get a bit of oversteer when I want to have a bit of fun, and I can rotate the tires to get more life out of them. To me the car seems more balanced.
If you want to upgrade your brakes I would save some money, and put in some performance ceramic pads, and if you need rotors get some higher performance rotors. I put NAPA gold slotted rotors, and Hawk performance ceramic pads on my car when I had to do the brakes any ways. I am very happy with these brakes, and as a plus my wheels don't turn black within a couple of days of washing. This summer I am going to get a G2 caliper paint kit in black, and paint my calipers. I can't stand the plain un painted calipers, but I think the brightly painted ones look a bit much unless it is on a porsche, or ferrari or something. Now I just need to find a deal on a DISA manifold, and maybe some Koni FSD shocks

We'll I did it! I just purchase wheels 17x7.5 sparcoo assetto gara in matte graphite sliver and tires (bfg rivals 225/45/17s) they run wider then PSS and the m3 front control arms along with stainless steal brake lines and motul brake fluid. I feel poor now lol and my e92 M3 steering wheel. Can't wait till May to install everything and go back to the track!

Does Schmiedmann make their own exhausts?
I had a very good/quick experience with them for my Blacklines, other than I needed to order another headlight gasket(only came with one).

I don't know much about exhausts or metal in general, but for some reason those headers just look low quality. I could be completely wrong, but visually they don't look very pleasing. The design seems to be very similar to supersprint however. I'd be curious to see how they perform.
+1 to shmiedmann, i bought my blacklines from them and had them in a week. Be prepared for some random import fee's to be mailed to you, they got me for about 17 bucks haha.

They made headers for quite some time, I do agree that the welds on the Flange look thick/ugly.
The design seems to be based on their m54 engine S*man headers. Recall, SuperSprint is based on their e46 m3 headers. They happen to look the same probably because S*man copied the SuperSprint design fro m54.

Exhibit A: n52 Exhibit B: e46 m3 SS v1 step: They share the same curves into the bank collectors. V2 step is different: V2 Header version, non step, also called Eurostyle, i guss from CSL version: Therefore n52 Schmiedmann most closely resemble the V2 non-step. While V1 step is most related to n52 SS. Which is best i dont know, the forums have mixed dynos, I assume v2 step is better since it costs the most. Do you know?
