No. You do not have an N54 or N55 engine. Turbo models only...

US and Aus dollar is about 1to1, why would it not translate. Whats's the base price for a 135?

Thanks for the prices

My calcs: 44k (US 135)/94k (AUD 135)*1770= 829 USD. *1.05 USD/AUD= $870. Still overpriced, shucks.

I just got my car back from the dealership and asked them about the software upgrade. They had no idea what I was talking about. Lame

What individual BMW parts sell for in the US and Oz often have no relation...

For example:

My 313 wheels:

Oz: $7200 AUD (no rubber)
US: $2169 USD (no rubber)

Based on that difference (Using your formula but basing it off the wheels instead of the car):

2169 (US 313s)/7200 (AUD 313s)*1770= 533 USD *1.05 USD/AUD= $560.

This seems a more likely price...

2169 should be 1590?

1590/7200*1770*1.05= 410, not bad

If 20hp is enough to satisfy you and you're only interested in stage 1, then why not just get a JB+ ? It'll actually give you more hp, no internet downloading etc and it's plug and play. You'll save a couple hundred dollars. I've yet to hear any complaints or issues from it arise.

Doesn't the JB+ have issues with the latest DME on N55?

I can remove or install my JB4, quick mount meth kit, intakes, and put everything back together in under 20 minutes. What good is 20 horsepower for $600 when you can have 150 for $1000...

Sorry. The first number ($1590) was the Tischer Price (what I paid)... The $2169 is the MSRP...

Started off with the Tischer price but halfway through decided I should use the BMW MSRP for the point I was trying to make as it's more accurate and didn't change all of the numbers in my post...

Have fixed it now...

Its also the piece of mind the customer is getting being backed by the manufacturers warranty. To some people thats worth it all in itself.

Anything official in writing from BMW on this yet? Went to the local dealer today and same response as above.

If the $1770 price is in Aus then you need to divide by 1.05 to convert to USD, not multiply.

Yeah... I didn't write the equation... just stuck in prices for a different product... It's not how I would have written it but I wanted to keep it the same format as the OP's equation...

The end result is that $533 AUD = $560 USD based on an exchange rate of 105 US cents in the Australian Dollar...

All this talk about prices and currency conversion is pretty useless without an actual product with which to apply them.

Thanks Craig
