What color is this interior?

THe first pic is coral, second is terra, what is the 3rd, is this also coral, just different lighting perhaps? If so, I like the coral in the 3rd pic, but in the 1st pic it looks so red it almost looks gaudy, just my opinion, but I think I would get tired of it.

Any help? If the 1st and 3rd pics ARE both coral, which one is closer to what it really looks like?

That's a good question on the 3rd pic...I don't understand why BMW's red is so bright! I also agree that the 3rd pic red is probably the best....

It looks like a poorly exposed photo of Terra to me. The "black" in the interior is shown as gray which leads me to say overexposed Terra. From pictures I've seen, the first is a pretty good example of Coral (it is really red) and the second is pretty good of Terra. The third is pretty poorly exposed no matter which one it is and wouldn't base my interior choice on this picture. Others may disagree and I haven't seen both in person but having looked at NUMEROUS examples on-line, I would say the first 2 are pretty close. Search for the interior color threads and you'll find plenty of pictures.

Ok...I am now second guessing myself...I copied the picture into photoshop and played with the exposure and contrast...nothing else and I think now that it is a really poor shot of the coral. Either way though, don't base a decision on just these pics and especially NOT on that third one!!

I am thinking coral with poor exposure. Coral sometime can be alittle "orange" in some photos

It's coral with the white balance set incorrectly. The dark grey part of the interior has a blue tinge to it.

Over-exposed coral, for sure.

I don't think either of them are accurate renditions of Coral though the 1st photo is much closer.
Much to my own chagrin I found that Terra is not the same as Terra Cotta. Terra is a great redish-brown that is available on the 3 series. Very sharp looking with either AW or SMG (not available on the 1 series, damn it). Terra Cotta on the other hand is very hard to find a sample of since it's not a standard 1 finish in the US. It is, however, also available on the X3 which you might find at a dealer. In person you can see why it's called Terra Cotta. It looks like a terra cotta pot. It's very orange as opposed to red or brown. It didn't appeal to me at all and I can only imagine it working well with an AW exterior. Coral is somewhat aggressive looking, but so is the whole car so it's fitting. You can also get the coral in the 3 coupes so you might be able to see the combo you're thinking of at a dealer.

the first pic of the coral red is not very accurate...its overexposed and shows a very "gaudy" red.

this is more what it looks like in real life imo:

That third shot actually looks almost exactly like the coral I saw at my dealership.

I think ssabripo has a good shot there. I have Crimson and Coral. Coral is bit of a muted red, kind of a faded look. Here's a shot of mine I think represents it well:

The last two pictures posted are good shots of the coral. It can be bright in some conditions, not too much, but it can be a nice cool red as well.
