Installing my Macht Schnell tow straps, ran into a small issue

So I had an aluminum hook tow strap in the front that I've since removed and am replacing with this.

The issue is, the factory tow hook hole is not very large and makes it difficult to screw in the strap. Has anyone else installed one? Did you have to remove the front bumper?

I have the tow strap and couldn't install it for the same reasons. I find it completely stupid that you would have to remove the bumper to install it.

ah, so it wont rotate to screw on with the bumper in place? you have to remove the bumper, screw on and then put the bumper back on over it?

Yep ran into the same issue.
Works fine in the back though.

Also seems like it would flap around quite a bit at speed and scratch things up

Maybe on the front which is a moot point anyway. I run the strap on the back and a Rennline towhook on the front.

The one positive is no one will run away with ur tow hook strap when ur parked

Is that a 76mm Rennline tow hook that fits 1M?
