I spoke to Mohamed at Beamer Tuning (who is the Australian partner for Schmiedmann) about the Kerscher carbon fibre front lip/splitter (Part #3039501KER) and he has provided me with a price of AUD $458 each delivered to your door. This is based on today's 83c USD-AUD exchange rate that they are charged so the final cost can vary up or down slightly (AUD ~$10-15) depending on the exchange rate on the day you place your order. Payment options are bank transfer (no surcharge) or PayPal (you need to pay for the PayPal fees). This is by far the best price that I have come across!
If two of these lips are shipped to the same address then there could be a discount due to the cost saving on shipping.

I spoke to Thomas at Tuning Empire a few weeks ago about a group buy for the Kerscher carbon fibre front lip/splitter (Part #3039501KER).

Up to four of these lips can be shipped in one package to reduce the shipping costs, although each package needs to be shipped to the one address, which means one package (or more) to each city or regional centre. The package prices for the lips are:
1 @ $745 each
2 @ $625 each
3 @ $565 each
4 @ $535 each

The courier is TNT. Delivery would take about a week.

Just reply to this thread if you're interested and we'll see if we can get enough in each city to make it worthwhile. I think the sweet spot is three lips at $565 each but an extra $30 saving for four lips is a bonus.

I read their T&Cs and there is also a 2.25% credit card surcharge (3.4% for PayPal) plus banks usually charge a 3% currency conversion surcharge. So the total cost would be at least AUD $500 at an 85c exchange rate. At AUD $412 (USD $351) for the lip (without shipping), only two of these could be purchased in the one order so as to remain under the AUD $1000 threshold to avoid being charged duty and GST by customs. With some saving on shipping to the same address, two lips could potentially cost AUD $475 each delivered (that's a calculated estimate on my part).

The good news is that I contacted the Australian partner for Schmiedmann and got a better deal - AUD $458 delivered to your door, with possible savings if two were delivered to the one address.

I have updated the original post with these new details and "greyed out" the original GB details.

Just an update, it looks like shipping will take about 3 weeks total - 2 weeks to Schmiedmann and then 1 week to Australia - which would be cutting it a bit close to Christmas. Schmiedmann are closed for 2 weeks over Christmas / New Year so the best option might be to wait until the beginning of January - not to mention that might give the AUD some time to recover. At the current exchange rate, I would guess the price is AUD $475 delivered. Let me know what you think.

Also, just an FYI, there is another GB for a front lip made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE). The GB was for the original "Version 1" design, although, I've suggested a motorsport-inspired "Version 2". Just let me know if you decide to change over to the other GB or if you'd prefer to stay with the Kerscher lip.
