Any tips for Dyno of N55 with DCT?

I am planning to do a base line Dyno on my 2011 135i N55 with the DCT. Any tips or instructions such as which gear I should use? I am assuming it should be in manual mode with the DSC turned off? Any help on doing this the right way would be much appreciated. The dyno shop has a Dyno Jet.

I am doing this in anticipation of getting a tune - had been waiting for Cobb -but at this point I am tired of waiting for the last year and will most likely grab the BMW PPK at the disounted price. Want to be able to see some hard data on the before and after and will post my results.

Thanks

Did mine on a dynojet a few weeks ago. You should dyno in 5th gear, disable dsc, and place into manual mode. I wish I knew what was replied to me when I posted before I left the dyno lol! I had a hell of a time... the car kept downshifting no matter what on me. I didn't get the greatest reads (graphs are short) so might do it again before I get the PPK tune... I had one read 290hp/285tq and another read 279hp/280tq and a third read 275hp/280tq. So hmmm yeah I'm more than likely going to get it done again. Check out my post and the reply I got last month...

Does the DCT have a kickdown switch like BMW's regular automatics? If so, then you need to avoid hitting it and the transmission shouldn't downshift in manual mode. Not hard to do since you actually have to go past full throttle to hit the switch, and there's noticeable resistance before you hit it.

Seems like your readings were fairly normal in their variance to me. You have to expect them to differ. I am very interested in your results and want to thank you for posting before and after info. It would be nice to see the graph of the modded one at least so we can see the new power curve once it has been done.
