E100?

I happen to have a gas station right next to my house that sells E85 and E100. I know people are pulling 500+ wtq with straight E85. Has anybody heard of people running E100? Do we need upgrades in our fuel system to run straight E85/E100?

I'm waiting for a response on this as well; I'm not 100% sure if I understand how people are making HP on E85.

E85 is like race gas essentially, the octane levels are much higher than pump 93

So I'm guessing the ECU realizes the difference and adjust for timing?!?!

our cars cant run 100% without a flash like the BMS flash in conjunction with an upgraded fuel pump (walboro)
i run 50% E85 thought with no issue but with a JB4 FBO.
you wont really see too much gain without a tune.
COBB has an E85 map if i am not mistaken
to asnwer your question, since you cant run 100% of either.......its more of you need to find the Max % of Ethenol that your car seems to be able to handle, and then just put the correct ratio of that in.....it may be more cost effective to run 40% E100 vs 50%E85.......or whatever the equal ratio would be....but if your % of Ethenol is the same in the tank it will make no difference.

I have a Cobb AP, I didn't see a E85 map. Are you filling half of your tank with E85?

The Cobb map needs to be downloaded on their website. It is the map I am currently using it is in the race section and it is called E30. I am currently running about 4 gallons of E85 with the rest 93. People play around with the exact ammount of E85 they put in. I have seen people running well up to 50/50 on the E30 map from cobb just make sure you monitor your data logs.

Thanks for the input. I heard people talking about need bigger injectors to run straight and have heard back and forth that our injectors are good. I use the Coob OTS E30 map. I am considering going with a pro tune for straight E85/E100. Is a new fuel pump the only thing we need to run straight?

Also I am assuming since E100 has a higher octane than E85 I would be able to gain more out of my protune?

Berger tuning has a "BMS E85" flash that they reccomend having the walboro pump.
i am not sure what the costs are for the BMS flash, you should check their forum.
they use the COBB to flash the BMS flash

Thanks I will look into it. I hope I can use that in conjunction with my cobb maps. From what I read on the website it sounds to me like you kind of have to have JB4 with it because it would just be replacing my map.

Yes; The JB4 Cobb map shown on BM's web site does require you to have the both the JB4 and the Cobb AP. I personally don't like piggy back systems; OP is working with a AP so lets keep it there. I think the best way to address would be a pro tune... Mikey, do you have any other supporting fuel mods to run E85? Did you notice any gains with the E85 mix vise just the 93 pump?
Also I've heard something about windshield washing fluid being used as a 50/50 mix, any insight on that?

Sorry been gone for a while. No other mods just the e30 tune and yes it was a difference in power. The butt dyno would say about20-30 who. Never heard about windsheild fluid that sounds weird to me. I am guessing maybe you heard about method which I have heard people use their windshield washer fluid to hold?
