Half Cage?

Does anyone have specs for a half cage? A solid works layup would be awesome. But I'm just looking for some basic sizing and angles/ maybe some design. A friend of mine has a bunch of tubing, a bender and a welder, so I'm just wondering if there are some ideas that are better than others. Looking to do a bolt in (maybe weld-in, haven't really decided yet). Definitely need a crossbar for harness, and would like to link into the rear strut towers for some extra rigidity. Any other thoughts/ actual designs would be appreciated.
For reference the trunk is completely shaved, and the rear sear/ stereo/ carpeting/ liners/ and sound deadening is gone as well.

Here is my setup. It is a custom 4 pt half cage welded in.

VAC does not make that half cage anymore, they were one of the shops I called to get a quote from and they told me they are no longer making that cage.

Down to the seats and harnesses this is literally the exact setup I'm looking to run. Do you have a mockup on the cage? Really all I need to know is where to tie/ weld the cage into the chassis of the car. Awesome setup though, very jealous of those seats. (Did you happen to get an actual out of car weight for them?

I dont have a mock up of this cage but I could take pictures of where it's welded in tonight and post them so you can get an idea.

I haven't weighed my stock seats to see how much of a difference in weight there is...I still have the front and rear seats sitting in my basement along with the other interior pieces that I have removed.

here is my set up. My shop measured the car and built it all to fit. I loosely copied the m3 gts set up and mounting points.

First off been following your car for a year-ish: Its pretty insanely amazing nothing beats a V8. Second I called them today just to see what was up and they quoted my 2500 dollars which is ridiculous (I have tubing but don't know how to weld so hopefully my friend doesn't charge me more than 500). Third I thought about something like your cage would you mind sending pictures of the mounting points? T'would be a big help. Thanks

I'm sure that they're going to do more than just weld tubes together.

thanks man.

If you google 'M3 GTS CAGE' you will see the gts mounting points. My car has the same points.

What spec tubing do you have?
