Who has had subframe bushings installed successfully?

Im looking to get mine done this weekend if possible. I really want them on for my next trip to the ring. Id also like to get the rear sway bar done at the same time.

Id prefer somewhere within an hour of ramstein, but if push comes to shove, i can take a road trip.

Thanks!

If I was closer and not in the process of moving I could help you out with the sway install. Do you have the tool to remove the bushings?

I'd like to know as well. Installation is the only thing holding back from getting the bushings...

I know an indy shop around here has it and he rents it to other indy shops. You can ask an indy shop around you to see if they have it.

I've gotten a couple of quotes for my suspension install. Once I get it done successfully I'll let everybody know how it turned out. Since there are at least three others interested maybe I could work out a discount. I'm not looking to cut corners for a cheap price though. I want to drop the car off with someone who knows what they are doing and get the bushings installed drama free.

I'd be down if we can schedule a day that I can bring the car up and hang out. I don't mind paying for quality and customer service.

I asked the local mechanic who installed my DP if he would do the subframe bushings. Once he understood what I was asking he laughed, shook his head and said "perhaps if they were broken, but not for fun!"

I had mine done at my local BMW Zentrum. They had to order the tool to press out/in the bushings. You will need to drop the rear axle off the car. So it would be a good time to also do SS brake lines. I did not think of that when I did mine. Cost me around 380 euros I think for the labor.

I would not do a rear sway bar unless your car has a LSD. Otherwise your just gonna lift up your inside wheel and loose traction when you corner hard into a turn. Try searching for rear sway bar... you will see that is what others had run into.

So, any updates? I'm hoping to do a full M3 swap over the winter and already have the bushings in hand...

Suspension goes in on Wed. I'll let you know how it goes and the price. How many of you are interested?

I think we are ALL interested in one way or another - how it turns out.

Maybe you can leave them a digital camera to take pics step by step. ? I think we are all thinking about doing the total M3/1M suspension swap.

So long as I don't have to make a trip back home this winter (grandfather is having a serious surgery), I'm in for a full M3 swap. At the very least I want the bushings I have now installed.
