Bmw Tuners in Perth

Hi guys new here.

There seems to be a lack of reputable BMW performance specialists on the west coast, would this be fair to say?

All the technical expertise seems to be located in Sydney.
What problems would this cause when buying a tuned 135i car from
eastern states and shipping it to Perth?

I see figures online Of 350-400 +rwkw from a 135i how realiable
a prospect would that be, Would it require ongoing out of the ordinary maintenance and mapping? In the real world how fast does that translate to?

Is N54 or N55 better?

I'm just starting to look into the 135i as a relatively affordable entry car with lots of upside tuning potential, so any links to forums/threads or websites outlining the issues owners have in relation to the above described situation would be great.

Also what sort of cash would need to be thrown at this car to get it up to those sort of power levels without jeopardising reliability?

Cheers

There's Ramp Automotive in Malaga and BM Techniks in Bayswater. Good and bad reviews for both.

N54 is better to get more power for cheaper.

I think 320kw is enough to get loose and beat most street cars.

I'm around 400kw and 2nd and 3rd are fairly Balkan after 4krpm for the street.

To get above 300kw from a n54 you would need at least mhd, custom tune, intercooler, dp, low pressure fuel pump and use a high amount or full e85.

There's a few other should get items that will easily rack up to 1000 or more.

I think most tuned cars would have a custom tune from tuners such as Wedge, Trebila, twisted tuning, redden, v8bait. They all can be found on the forums.

Is there a write up of your car anywhere on here, spec etc?

What you have outlined here, for some good quality new products, you would be talking 5K fittted? What's the second hand market like for sourcing these types of goodies?

I would buy second hand dp and intercooler, maybe a fuel pump.

You could get this for around 2k and maybe 1k install.

Hard to do it much cheaper unless you find a fbo package and diy it.

If you want to pay 5k I wil source the parts install them and guarantee 300rwkw with a dyno sheet provided.
