Lemans Blue & what you get

Hey Guys, I know you are all wondering what is going on with the configurator. The short answer is, it is not completely updated yet.

Here is what I know:

• Lemans Blue is available
• It is part of a new package (ZMP) M Sport Package

It includes:

• Style 261M rims
• sport seats/ wheel (same as on regular sports pak)
• Shadow line
• Anthracite headliner

There will be cost associated with the package, but it is blocked, so I can't say how much. But it can be ordered, I've already spec'd one of our allocations with it:biggrin:

blacked out headliner. If your car is already in production, you cannot modify, you would have to re-order

I think United States is the only country not to have the anthracite headliner for the 1-series and basically it just makes the ceiling inside better looking/sporty. I'm sure you can find pics of it on the Canadian-spec 1-series.

Since your car is being built now, you most likely won't have it as apparently it will only be included in the new M sport package that's not out yet.

So Dave, will this package be more or less than the current Sport package for the 135i at $1100? You don't have to "answer" it, just put 2 :smile: for less expensive or 1 :smile: for more expensive...

It has to be more expensive than the sports package - it's the sport package plus wheels plus headliner.

Yep, I'm gonna say #1 for more expensive. I don't yet either if there are any changes to the body itself (i.e. new kit ala BMW performance)

Does this mean no more Year 1 of the 1? Is that why they are making changes? or can we get M Sport pkg and year 1 of the 1 ? that's souding quite nice :thumbup:

I was kind of surprised at the early release of a special package. Typically they released them close to the end of model runs, 330i performance pak, 540i msport, 550i sport, & now the 650i sport. They are normally "going away" presents to stoke the flame a little more. My guess is BMW is being more aggressive to keep up with the economic conditions and keep the exicitement & emotional levels high.

I have to say, looking from the inside out, BMW has done an awesome job being proactive to the market conditions. Especially when I see the turmoil in through out the rest of the automobile industry

It would have been lovely of BMW to give some notice instead of pulling this over a holiday weekend. My CA never heard of it and my car has a VIN so that's that. Oh well, I won't love my car any less. By next week it will be on a very lonely ship most likely.

When you order a Lemans blue 135i in Canada (and i think most of the rest of the world) it can only be ordered with the M Sport pack. Looks like you guys are finally going to get what we've had available since the 08's.

And to add to the list above, you should also get the M door sills and M dead pedal if it's the same pack we get.

to be fair, BMW hasn't really given us much info on it & most CA's are not like those you'll find here.

umm... that I cannot confirm yet... We don't even have ordering guides for this package yet. But I would assume no.. you can get most colors. Most likely the colors not available will be:

• Blue water
• Montego (too similar)
• Cashmere
• maybe monaco
• any green

I would imagine the rest would be orderable, but this is not fact, just an educated guess based on what I have seen in the past. But it almost certain that you will not be able to get Lemans w/out ZMP.

Cool. So when do you think you will get the complete details? Is it much more expensive than the sport package?
