It's a Priority 1 option, you have to specifically ask for it.

there are 2 optional interior colors, "Terra" aka "Terracotta" and "Lemon", there is no additional cost but they can only be ordered as a sold to customer car. check your PM.

Lemans is pretty nice, but Interlagos would be the ticket for our little pocket rockets. Maybe they'll save that for the end of model runs like Dave says to maintain interest. If BMW NA is listening, I'd like to see a full tii special version in Interlagos Blue with black Alcantara & M-Cloth sport seats, CSL wheels, red calipers, a real LSD and enough tune to add 25-30 hp :roundel:

I've been reading this thread with interest and trying to figure out if I'm the only one that doesn't understand why people so deeply desire Le Mans vs Montego? :iono:

Granted, I bought a Montego, but at the L.A. Auto Show BMW had the two paint swaths right next to each other and I couldn't really see the difference.

Maybe I need to see them on the cars in person next to one other. Then again, I wonder if I'd be able to tell which was which?

I'm just kinda pissed I didn't get the headliner... the wheels don't interest me at all and LeMans is awesome but I'll stick wth black...

The difference between LeMans and Montego is minimal and most people likely can't tell the difference but now that LeMans will be available, I think it's my color of choice simply because it will be a little rarer as only the E39 M5 and the 2009-on E9X M3s will have LeMans Blue, IIRC.

I do prefer the 261M rims over the ones they have now but the headliner to me isn't a big deal. Hopefully, this new M package will be price attractively ($1,500 sounds fair) and just maybe they will add the clear corner blinker-cover in the headlights like how the Europeans have it (just dreamin' of course)...

Does the m package include performance suspension parts as well or just the standard 135i suspension?

The main difference I see between lemans and montego is that lemans is a little deeper, darker blue and montego is a bit lighter and has a purple hint to it in some light

In the configurator LeMans seems much darker than Montego. Anyone have a pic of both colors together? The lighting needs to be the same to compare them adequately.

Hmm it looks like the configurator changed again since last night. The colors look different now.

It looks like if you just pick LeMans you get grey poplar wood trim, the anthracite headliner, shadowline trim, and the sport seats - for no added cost.

But if you add the sport package it still adds $1100 to the cost - I guess you get the steering wheel for that amount.

here's a comparison shot of some Bimmer Blues

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showpos...2&postcount=37

Though, there's belief that the new M5 is Montego not Interlagos?

Thanks, Theo...a more detailed question:
Is the M package only available with the LeMans blue color? Is it only available with the grey wood trim? I see that Sport Package is "No charge", is that going to be standard, or just because you're already getting the M package?

Also curious about the tires...there's no mention of them being run-flats after selecting the Le Mans, could that be the case?

So the only items in the M Sport Package above the standard Sport Package are:
- 261 wheels instead of 264 wheels
- anthracite headliner (coupe only and not the convertible)
- //M door sills (maybe)
- //M dead pedal (maybe)
- ???

Assuming the suspension and tires sizes are the same, I can't say I care that much. I already added the //M door sills and I do not like the //M dead pedal. For looks, I like the 264 wheels over the 261 wheels...although I would take the 261 wheels if they are lighter. Since I have a convertible, I already have a black headliner. However, I can see where the coupe owners would really like the black headliner (especially with black, coral or terra interiors).
