Question Anyone running 18x9 et45 rears with 255/35 PSS or S-04's and lowered? Any rubbing?

As the title states, I am looking for feedback from anyone/everyone running the exact setup of a 18x9 et45 rear AND lowered, if rubbing? Currently I am running Yoko S-drives (almost done) on stock M Sport suspension, and have barely rubbed just 1% of the time ever... this was at around 80mph and under really heavy sudden compression (a DEEP dip on the highway) . Happened once before over a dip with 3 people + luggage in the car, but 99% sure that will never happen again.

Anyway, I know there are hundreds of threads on here about wheel fitment (width/offset/etc) and I know mine aren't as "ideal" as say the APEX wheels, but they fit within the "should be ok" parameters. I KNOW my wheels are ok with stock suspension, but the PSS tires run a bit wide, and if I decide to do the BMWP or say Cobb springs... should I worry about rubbing? Since the Bridgestone S-04's run a smidge narrower than PSS, but still have great grip, could that be a better option?

I know tirerack provides exact dimensions (tread width, tire section width, etc.) but my remaining S-drives tread measures exactly 9.9in wide, far more than the 9.1 tirerack has listed. Yes I am sure when new the tread tapered in more, but .8 inches more, I'm not so sure. So hence my question regarding the PPS or S-04 tire, as I don't want to get a great tire... only to have it rub since it's a bit too wide.

Anyone on here with the 255/35 rear PSS or S-04 AND lowered, I appreciate the feedback, thanks again!

You are correct in asking about exact setups. Even then I think people might get slightly different results. Also it's much easier to compare stock setups. Once lowered, camber comes in to play, and of course you should be able to add more rear camber.

Most including me (my specs are in my signature) have 9.5" et 45 rears, some 18s and some 19s like mine. I understand traction, etc. If PSS's come in 18/245/35, I'd go that way first. I think even then you'll rub as much if not more than you do now. If you rub to much, go to a shop and have them add camber. I was able to add pretty much a degree of rear camber. For sure I think lowered 245s would be better. Not sure how S-04s run.

I went 255/30/19. I probably should have went with 245/35/19. I rub pretty bad and I'm rolled and pulled and have dropped a good bit of rear weight and brought my rear drop up a little. I plan to get a fender roll/pull specialist to look at my car once the weather warms.

Good luck!

Thanks for the info, and yeah I know with a camber adjustment we can tweak the rub/no rub factor. There are guys on here running 255/35 18 Hankooks on 18x9 et45 rears with NO rubbing; and then there are others running the STOCK rims (with higher factory offsets obviously) and 255/35 18 PSS, and they rub (especially the back right). And I have seen a few owners who decided to run the Potenza S-04's for that very reason.

I'm hoping for some more feedback from others as well...
