i was torn between VO & BSM when i ordered the car . i was stunned by VO but in the end thought it was too much so i sticked to black like my previous cars . now i don't regret my choice but some days i have to say i get bored and would like to swap my bsm to a zesty VO , just for a day though , not for ever

However I hate that it's the UT Longhorns color and in addition to people getting the wrong impression about my college loyalty, I can't stand looking at UT colors and thinking about the Loser Longhorns everytime I see the orange color.
Great reason. I wish my pops had a 2002. Instead, he bought Camaro.

New to this site but been reading up for the last few months. My VO 1M will be arriving in a few days (clearing Aus customs). My dad then surprised me and ordered his AW 1M due for build in June! The dealer is a friend and didn't want to sell another VO to our family so fair call. Maybe we swapsies on certain days to get a different "feel".

Situation (Swap day): Walk out to the carpark and i will be looking for a VO 1M when i spot a AW 1M "Hmmm nice car, where has mine gotten too?"

Will post pics of the two of them together when we have them both. I thought the entire allocation was over but it looks like there are very few of them still coming in here in Australia.

Wouldn't swap, while I thought my 135i looked great in AW and special I think the 1M doesn't look as good in AW.

The 1M is something different and should standout and VO is the perfect colour for that.

Exactly.

The 135i looks 'Classic' & hot in AW, but it doesn't do anything for the 1M.

Why would you paint your's yellow if AW was a great colour?

To be different not because AW is not a good color choice. Yes I did misread the previous post. Sorry.

My Porsche friends love it in AW. Looks perfect beside the GT3 in white. According to them the only true color to have. (not sure what "white" the Porsches have but its close to the AW) AW is the perfect match with carbon. The black and white combo is always a true classical. The mistake is to go for AW if you want attention. Maybe some addicts should have gone VO from start? Einser? Powerbeast? ;-)

It would be cool to have AW as the standard color. Then with a press of a button be able to change color depending on the mood. Or change color depending on acceleration and "MDM" mode, DSC OFF etc... Would be pretty spectacular! Hey Einser and Power giving you an idea... Connect some LED lightning inside/outside of the car that change color when you press "M" button, MDM mode on, DSC OFF etc... You know you can do it! Take lead!

I would have bought white if my 135 wasnt AW. Einser bought the perfect color for his build (it was a blank canvas). PB, I guess it doesnt matter what color he originally had. Im not really sure VO gets all that much attention.. I think its more that its a 1M and BMW fans are giving it attention (regardless of color).

As far as that LED thing... around here the cars with all the lights on the outside and undercarriage are.... well IDK exactly how to put it...

I do however like the idea that the car itself would change color when in "power" mode. Like the Akra, tame or wild at the push of a button!!

That would be giving it away to the cops too easily. The 1M should be going into stealth mode at the touch of the M-button.

I'd consider trading my AW for black. More important, I'd think about trading my loaded car for a zero option stripper...

Of course I think the tax man would try to take their pound of flesh on any such transaction, which makes it far less likely...
