I beg to differ Eddy - i think the form is as awesome as the function. Love my satin black Arc 8s.

Very few customers post photos, so I'm sure that combo exists out there. Maybe someone will post it up. You can always look at non 1 series models in blue running these wheels to get an idea of what they look like. I'll look around for combos similar to that as I get around to follow up on all the different forums.

Anyone with Space Gray + Hyper black?

Eddy - do you know if a 235 Advan AD08 will fit in the front with stock suspension without rubbing?

There may be some rubbing on the fender liner in front of the tire where the inter cooler duct is since the plastic liner is not perfect on every car. Some have issues others have lots of room. It's a very square tire so the corner of it will be more prone to contacting the liner.

That being said it's still a much easier fitment then many other front tire width combinations. You will still want to pull the pin on your strut and dial in the max amount of negative camber you can with the stock suspension. without doing that you won't be able to take advantage of that expensive tire, and it will add extra out fender clearance.

Thanks for the response, as of earlier today you guys have yourselves another order in hyper black

As far as tires, can you recommend a similarly performing tire that is known NOT to have rubbing issues? Perhaps the star spec?

Thank you for the order. It's already boxed up and ready for pick-up

Nitto NT-05 will fit for sure. Star Specs will fit easier then the AD08. RE-11 is another option. NT-05 would be the easiest as it doesn't have an overly wide rim protector like some tires do.

We may do something like that at the end of the year. There isn't enough inventory to sustain regular sales and an extra group buy in the middle of the year.

But, we may end up being overstocked on 18x8.5" et45 satin black fronts, and may run a special on that specific size/color only as a square setup.

18x8.5" ET45 front and rear is popular for a square setup with 245/35/18's and 255/35/18's

Just need camber plates and a 3-5mm front spacer depending on how wide the tire brand/model runs (some fit with no spacers).

Thanks for the orders. A container with more wheels is arriving in a week, but most are earmarked for the 1 series spec racers.

I followed the link to your homepage and reading thru the text found the following

...This new version is perfect (you have a typo on perfect by the way) for those who want to run a 225/40/18 or 235/40/18 tires up front on a 100% unmodified 1 series. Previously camber plates were needed to run a 235/40 front, but this new offset provides the needed front fender clearance to make it fit without issue...

How recently was the design changed? I had looked at these wheels some time ago but was not ready to put on camber plates with my BMW performance parts suspension. Any guidance on fitment with this set up? I would like to have the front tire (I run RE11) as wide as possible without camber/rubbing/mass hysteria etc. Can I still do 235 or 245

Thanks...

Thanks for catching the typo. I'll have that changed.

235/40/18 is the MAX you can run on a car without camber plates. The new ET45 version was released in Q1 of this year. There are numerous threads about that fitment on the forum mentioning the ET45 fit, so you can read up on it a bit.

You will not be able to run anything wider without issues. I would still recommend you max out the camber within the factory limits (after pulling the pins). Camber is extremely functional for grip, and will make the fitment even easier. You shouldn't have an issue with RE-11's if you do that.

Very happy with my set. I had them refinished to a textured flat black for more durability. The satin scratches very easy. Otherwise they are very light, and I could feel a noticable difference in the unsprung weight when going from stock wheels with dunlop 3D winter tires.

FYI. I run 235, and 265's Kumoh Ecsta LE Sports, lowered on eibach prokit, with fsd's and I rub over bumps in the front and rear. I have not had a chance to roll my fenders with my fender roller yet, but I think that will resolve the issues. It seems like a light rub, but is very noticable in cabin.

Edit: I'm running about 1.3 Deg of camber in the front and 2 Deg in the rear.
