Broken LCI Blackline + No Longer Available

My left LCI backline taillight had a seal issue and water got in and fried the circuit. so now the lines are very dim and no longer have running lights. I contacted schmiedmann which was useless, and now can no longer find a replacement online?? help!

the stock ones look so bad.

It appears both ECS and Schmiedmann are still selling blacklines. (Or buy the OP's mint condition set).

First off, are the tail lights genuine BMW? If so, are they fewer than 2 years old? If they are, they're probably still under warranty from BMW, so that would be your first course of action.

Or are you trying to find a replacement for just one side only? If that's the case, part numbers for the individual sides are listed below:

Left: 63217327273
Right: 63217327274

If you go look on ECS it says no longer available and they don't appear on Schmiedmann

They're genuine from Schmiedmann but to return you need original packaging and more, which i no longer have

Oh - I only see them available as a set. Did they ever sell them individually? This is going to suck if they're truly NLA, because I don't want to ever go back to stock tails if/when these fail.

Everywhere use to, you can find the links on google but says unavailable. I don't want to buy a full new set because my passenger side is perfect, just driver side is broken. Its mostly just annoying because everything works (breaks/reverse) its just the running lights - the bars that no longer do.

It is odd that ECS and Schmiedmann have the sets in stock, but individual is NLA. I would buy the set and perhaps you'll be able to swap some day when someone damages their right blackline.

The running lights get power from the outer brake bulb. Mine stopped working on the drivers side and I replaced the brake bulb and made sure it was fully seated then they started working again. Might be worth a check.

I believe they've never sold them individually. When I got my blacklines from schmiedmann one was cracked and had to send both lights back and order a new set instead of just ordering an individual.

It seems to be a common issue that these fail because the rubber seal is a different shape than the body of the car. I think I'll remove my Blacklines and figure out a way to get the rubber seal to stick to the shape of the car.

Can confirm. Blacklines were never offered individually, at least in the US.

Suck it up and buy a new set. Then you can sell the other one off individually. Could be someone like you out there who needs your spare!

Sadly BMW does not currently offer the singles, only the retrofit kit (pairs).

Also just on the off chance someone is reading the thread going what are Black Line, photos showing how beautiful these dark LED lights really are:
