Female Factor
Alright guys, first and foremost, I am a car enthusiast and make decisions based on what I think and nobody else. I care way more about how a car performs and makes me feel rather than how it looks. Personally, I love the looks of the one and would absolutely choose it over the 3 series and MANY other cars. That being said, if a VW beetle had the exact performance of the 135i, I would never be caught dead driving it. So, no matter what some of us think, looks do play a key role in choosing a vehicle. As much as I love cars, I love women just as much and it would definitely be a plus to have a car that uh.. "impresses" them. (Not that I need the extra help! )
On to the main point: I want to know what kind of attention this thing is getting from our beloved females! **I'm sure I'll be flamed for this, but remember this has about .0001% effect on my decision to buy the 1er. And also, kbimmer135i or any other girls, feel free to chime in, I wouldn't want to exclude anybody. |

Check out this post...
http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showthread.php?t=7099#6 I agree that, to me, the 135i looks better then the 3 series. Even in a coupe the 3 series just looks like a bigger family type sedan. Dan |

Thanks for the reply Dan203, I agree the 3 looks like a family car now rather than a sports car. I am also aware of that thread (after all I check 1Addicts 23746 times a day :smile, but I wanted to narrow it down a little.

Find a better reason to get the 1. Your not going to get the attention you would get from a Porsche or a Ferrari if that is what you are hoping.

I guess you didn't read the original post. And there isn't a car out there that would get the attention a Porsche or Ferrari would except, well, a Porsche or Ferrari. |

I absolutely love the 1, however, I think the 3 coupe is a bit more of a chick magnet. The three looks sleeker and sexier, but the 1 still looks good and is much more fun to drive.

For the ladies, the 1er might scare them a little. The 3 is kinda like the tall good looking mellow guy. Athletic but a little soft.
But the 135 is the more muscular, stockier guy that no one really wants to get into a scrap with. A bit of a hot head. |

I guess it depends on the kind of chicks you're trying to impress. In cities like LA and San Francisco the 335i might grab more chicks because it's more expensive. However the 135i looks sportier so if you're in a region that is not income obsessed then I think the 135i would win out.

I think intelligent worldly women might appreciate a smaller more efficient BMW, especially with todays economic situation. It might remind them of that trip to Europe so long ago.....

Might also matter the age of the women you're trying to attract. I'm only 29 so I'm basing my opinion on women in my age group. If you're 40+ the 135i might look a bit like a midlife crises mobile, although a lot less so then something like a vett.

to be honest I don't really think girls care what car you drive... They would far rather see you know how to manage your money and have the potential to be a good father... They want a good family and home to raise a family in.
Now if you're in collage or HS then maybe its different but all chicks in the end are looking for marriage material.

it doesn't really matter, if anything, having a BMW might hurt your chances with chicks. your best bet is to not tell them up front that you have a BMW and let them find out for themselves later, then they will be excited. the reaction should be the same for nearly any BMW, chicks love riding in them all.

Funny you should mention that. Last night I was 1addicting as opposed to what I should have been doing, her.
My name was dirt the rest of the night. I think this is getting out of hand.

I agree also. The 335i coupe is just a little TOO much $$$ with the same options as the one. I don't care about the back seat being small.
