I can't answer the Gen2 question or if this is the same as 328. You guys have been around these cars much longer than I, default to your expertise.

For the sound, definitely aggressive. I have the headers as well and they both went on at same time, so I'm not certain what the exhaust would sound like without the headers. There is a drone between 2300 and 3000, but I have less than 500 miles since install...I expect there is still some seasoning on the system to be had. I'll give an update after 1k.

Lots of burbles on decel. Above 3000 and below 5000, you can drive highway and noise level is fine. Above 5500, it's screaming.

The quality seems good, the welds look nice and consistent. I'll try to post up a video with some sound bites.

I loved my PE. However, once I eventually installed AA catless headers, it ruined the sound of the PE. Lots of deceleration rasp and drone. I needed a quieter muffler to pair to the AA headers so I'm throwing on a 135i exhaust sometime this week to see how it goes.

Very interested to hear how it sounds with the AA headers and 135i exhaust. I assume you still have your stock secondaries and mid-section, and only the 135i rear section right?
