Water and dryer sheet to remove bugs?!?

Has anyone tried this? If so, did you go over the area with a quik detailer?

There is no way I would dryer sheets they are ruff like paper towels. I would use bug and tar remover, Clay bar, anything that won't ruin my paint. A good clay bar and wax bugs should come off pretty easy.

The important thing is to lube the area using for example spray wax or soap / water. Lubrication really helps avoid clear coat damage.

Yup.

I don't see why you'd need to use clay to clean off the bugs... I'd think all you need to do is saturate the area with soapy water long enough to loosen the bugs off the surface.

I've been using this to my cars for quite a while, it works so easy, I saw it first on a Corvette forum.

A new dryer sheet works best but used ones work too.

This is what I do. My car is littered with bugs in the summer. If a basic wash doesn't remove them I spray with turtle wax's bug and tar remover. Works every time.

A small terry cloth hand towel and ivory hand soap (only ivory).
