On a tune all we need is proof of zero knock, good features / numbers and a warranty on the actual product.
No one truely knows outside of BMW how much these things can be pushed without breaking soon after so to try and warranty the car is silly. What I've seen from the hardware to the posts from the vendors is that the procede is the only hardware with any kind of real safety measure in it. The others just take the traditional route of here you go (hope nothing breaks). It is proven by the work put in it and the involvement from the vendor here. |
