Do your mirrors auto tilt down when in reverse?

I have power mirros, but unlike my bro's 335i where the mirrors auto tilt down when you put the car in reverse, mine don't. Should they be doing this? His and my car are both spec'd with the same options and both are 6MT. I'm a 2009 and his is 2011 MY. How about you guys, do your mirrors auto tilt down when you go into reverse?

Thanks

You must have the mirror selected for either driver or passenger to enable tilt down.

Yup, forgot which it is, but try switching which mirror you've got selected.

Neither mirror does anything no matter what the switch position. Is this something that needs to be programmed?

My 128 has this. I love this feature, has made me reverse past things I'd normally think twice about, lol.

Might be coded off for you. With BMWhat I can see the mirror coding options. Auto-fold and Dip have a few settings each.

Mine don't. 2009 N54. I was this programmed with the auto dimming mirrors? Wish I had the power folding. Don't have that either.

I have this feature, but only my passenger side mirror tilts down. Are both passenger side mirror and driver sider mirror supposed to tilt?

The passenger mirror tilts on mine but I have to have the mirror control set to driver side. If it's set to passenger side, it doesn't tilt.

I've never seen my mirrors tilt when in reverse, ever.

2011 N55

I wish they did.

For the people that's mirrors DON'T tilt for reverse, do you have auto dimming mirrors? I believe everybody has power.

My 2013 will tilt the passenger side mirror when I put the car in reverse. For a little bit, I could have sworn the mirror stopped doing it as no matter if I had the mirror selector on the driver or passenger side, the mirror wouldn't tilt down. I would sometimes see the mirror twitch. Took the car in to the dealership and they were able to get the mirror to respond. But I think the SA said he would have the tech reset something.

Since then, the mirror has been working fine except the one time when the mirror settings were out of whack (don't know how) and the tilt wasn't far enough down for me to see the curb. Adjusting the passenger mirror restored the proper tilt.

The one thing I am disappointed with and this should have been standard from the factory is tilt on both mirrors. My wife's Acura RDX will tilt either mirror depending on which mirror you have selected.

Oh and BTW, I have the auto dimming and power folding mirrors.

2008. Passenger side mirror tilts down when the mirror control is set to the driver side. Power Seats, Auto-dimming and power folding mirrors as well.

If you have manual seats the mirror won't till down. It only works with power seats, and the mirror adjuster selector switched to driver's side.
