Valencia Orange vs Saphire Black vs White

I have a tough time deciding which color the car looks best in. Every time I see one in a color, I think that is the best one for the car. So thought would help to see them all together.

Still not sure which looks best. Black looks classy and shows of the flared fenders well, but hides the details like the black diffuser and front bumper details. White is the sportiest and shows the details well, but hides the curves. Orange is the flashiest, but I think is very dependent of the ambient light.

On these pictures AW is the clear winner but irl i'll go for black.

Each color has its strengths. AW looks classy and signifies the motorsport heritage. Black looks mean, and the metallic flake should add depth and variation to prevent the car's curves from being obscured.

But in my opinion VO is best suited for the 1M. It best accentuates the fenders, lines and vents. Besides, it really pops. In addition, by evoking Inka Orange, VO helps create a lineage between this new generation M car and BMWs of the past.

You can't go wrong with any of the colors. But I think in 5-10 years the 1M will be widely regarded as a unique M car, and VO will be it's signature color.

Nope. As it was with the CSL... the black ones are faster.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Yet, judging from these pictures (not in real life?) I must say that black does a good job at hiding the lines and details of the car. Which is bad. Unless you don't like its agressive lines.

This doesn't mean that a black 1M as a whole doesn't look agressive.
For me, VO on order, but still 4 weeks to decide if I want to switch to AW.

I think the VO is best suited for the 1M

But i would never buy it because it s a cop magnet. My driving style is already a cop magnet the last thing i need is a more extreme colour.

White and black.

I have a white GT3. White is Motorsports. Awesome. The only problem with white is. If you drive a lot on tracks you have all black rubber patches on youre surface which is hard to clean. White is nice if maintained properly. But in my country also a cop magnet. For usa and a lot of other country s no cop magnet.

Black. I think for a daily best suited. Its not a cop magnet. Black does loose its shinyness very fast after a wash. And gets real hot when the sun shines on it. I think for europe it s the best colour choice.

One thing is for certain. I think VO is the colour for the 1M.

Radars don't judge on color, but on speed :-)
Most radars here are fixed radars, not manual cop operated radars. Not in the US?

In my country, every construction worker van, delivery van, flourist van, bakery van, ... well pretty much every van is white.
If they all were black, it would be a lot easier for me to choose white for my 1M as well.

Most GT3 cup cars are white and Bmw Motorsports racecars are white.

White is the best base colour to put advertising on and it s easy to repair.

I choose VO. I really like the color since it reminds me of some older BMW's of the 70's-80's in an orange color. It's a beautiful color (from what i can tell) if it's how i think it will appear. I can't wait to see it at the Denver Auto show later this month. Also looks like there are some red hues to it in the sunlight (from the daytona pics).....

GOing into this I was a VO man 100%. Now I have no effing clue. The only reason I don't really want black is because, to keep it up to my pristine standard I'd have to wash it daily. Really a total toss up for me.

AW is the best for advertising, for make trackday with ///M stickers



BSM, the black One is THE best choice for all the others reason

VO. It's an amazing color in person and really accentuates the wider fenders and the lines of the body. Plus, there's no mistaking it for any other car.... it's a 1M, no question.

As a person who generally loves black cars and would probably get it in black in the end this is what I will say:

Orange= Unique and different so very cool plus it matches the interior stitching
White= Just looks the best overall in my opinion
Black= I love black cars but in my opinion you lose some of the angles and stuff especially in the front bumper but anyways still love it

I think it really depends on personal opinion.

Don’t forget that black and white car on the picture are European models and do not have amber markers on the side.
