Agree with Cal, stick with the BMS Powerbox, it's a proven and easy upgrade for the car.

All of those chips are oxygen sensor modifiers. Which are probably useless on a BMW as they are a little more sophisticated than that..... (notice the single wire installation, compared to ....say 8 wires for the powerbox). Just avoid those websites all together.

Thank you all very much. I mean I wouldn't buy it but I wanted to make sure I searched as much as possible before I bought the BMS. I wanted to make sure it the best thing out there. Is it the best out there for its price? Is there something better for maybe just a little more?

Ok Nvm I will not be buy this POS. I have found posts saying there are almost no gains and if i want better pedal response I will press it faster XD. I am going for the GERMAN tune. They take 125's to 280PS :O

The Powerbox is awesome for the simple reason that it changes the pedal response. A 128i is NOT a tuner's car. You're not going to squeeze 80 HP out of this engine without doing some serious (and very expensive) modifications. Your only real option here is to get a stroker kit. Noelle Motors offers one for about 5000 Euro plus installation and additional parts (so you're looking at 7-8k or more). Might as well buy a 135i or an E36/46 M3 for the same price!

Thank bro. The reason I don't want that is it's not a perm HP boost which this is.

BTW I have a new update that will increase our HP to 270 HP i updated it at the top.

So, someone finally heard back from DS Motorsports RE: a 128i tune...did they tell you what all was involved - ie, just an ECU reflash or any new hardware?

BMS Power Box, aFe Intake, and an aftermarket exhaust system is enough to wake up your BMW from boring daily driver to performance car!

I am talking with them through e-mail and basically its like a new ECU map. Not a piggy back or what ever that BMS product is. There are several post saying the BMS powerbox is bad. They also include a dyno they did on their 128i to show you. I believe the post is called "My 128 project".

I e-mailed the DS motorsports and asked them exactly what I get and other questions today. After e-mailing them I got a response in a few hours so I'm sure by tomorrow or soon I should get another one. Its pretty pricey but if you think about it...its the best thing out there and it only gets better if you have an intake and an exhaust. You would be looking at 280HP+ and thats with the combination factor...I said it completely wrong, but you know that you can't just add the quoted HPs all together.

What I want to know is why doesn't America have this awesome product to give me 50 HP!?!?!?!? Are the crackers(ha) in Germany better than in america? Its not like BMW just gives them this.

BTW I didn't mean white people when I wrote crackers.

Let us know what you hear from them, especially if you actually go through with it.

Regretfully I won't because of money but I want to do my best in getting all you guys and gals the right info. I just spent over 3grand on all my parts so about 1800 Euro would be a lot. And I would have to do more research because I want to eventually trip this car out with some never before done mods. Once I get those done I would have to do a dyno/flash type thing again so it might not be worth it. I will get all the info though

Hey B2BP, don't listen to what 128i owners write here, apparently they seem to ignore that our 125i are only detuned 130i.
Moreover they don't realise how crappy is the 125i engine. It's got no power above 4000rpm. It's soooooo frustrating.
They are lots of threads related to that "130i retune" on the german forums and here as well.
You might check winter motorsport : http://www.wintertuning.de/
They're not as expensive as DS (< 1000 €). I had some emails with them 2 month ago.

That's on my wish list once I got some money to spend fot that kind of things...

You're welcome.
Keep me updated if you plan to go at Munich to Wintertuning.
We could get our car there at the same time and try to negociate a group price.
