Good to know that you are okay! Sometimes things just happen a certain way that forces you to make certain decisions I guess.

Thanks Sparoz - really glad everyone was okay. Would have been devastating if my employee got hurt.

I think we have to take each thing in life as it comes and make the best out of it.

tyorll, it's really unfortunate mate. Amazing to think that everything that went it to that car just suddenly stopped in a heartbeat.

But this really highlighted how amazing BMWs really are, my passenger and I were completely unharmed and not even shaken up. The car was just perfect.

Ah well, time for the next!

Yeah, so true mate. It's a real testament to BMWs solid build and their safety features. I too have unfortunately experienced a 130i in the process of being written off - it's a ball breaker. Glad you're ok though. Onto bigger and better things huh!

edit: and I had just spent $1000 on new Continental tyres a month prior.. so I know how you feel.

Thanks Woosh. It is a definitely a bit sad but it really makes you appreciate all the things that went it to making it.

How long did you write-off process take? What was damage repair estimate?

Don't know about bigger but arguably better!

Damn shame about the tyres - innocent victims they are!

Repair estimate? Uhh I don't think we ever received one . The assessor classified it as a repairable write off instantly. A few of the panels were pretty messed up among other things. They did ask for our complete logbook though, so as to achieve highest payout. I still keep a tab on carsales hoping to find it pop up (it was a bit distinguished with random mods).

Oh yeah, bring on the turbo's!

DAAAAMMNNNNN. That is really all I have to say.

This has got to be the worst timing. Get the payment for the writeoff, and then sell the parts for more. Especially those Michelins, are they still in working order?

Definitely sounds look it got messed up good and proper. I talked to the guys today and they reckon it could be a repair job - fingers crossed on the contrary. We'll see.

I actually prefer a high revving NA - a bit old fashioned like that. But I think the 1M really works as a package.

I was just speechless!

Might not be a payment at all! I really don't have the time to be parting it up and selling it bit by bit, plus it would feel pretty cannibalistic after she pretty much saved my life!

I have a plan to save the tyres but they are definitely already spoken for - several time over! One of them got completely wrecked. Hopefully I can pull the spoiler for Choclove.
