Adjust the weight sensor

Does anyone know if the passenger weight sensor in a 2008 135i be adjusted??? It seems to be set at about 15 to 20 lbs... HELP !!!!

Yeah, its a pain in the ass. But be grateful, its worse in the Mercedes C-Class I'm driving right now (rental). You sneeze on the front passenger seat and the seatbelt sensor will ding endlessly. I have to put everything in the back seat.

Not adjustable. I try to remember to buckle the passenger belt in advance if I need to carry anything heavier than about 20 lbs in the front seat.

You might ask a BMW dealer. I saw something on German TV a few weeks ago - about all the hidden menus in a lot of the new cars. They showed a Toyota - how to turn that feature off.

So... check with your dealer... maybe they know of a trick like this.

Yep, it's a pain. I bought "seat belt fix" off this site from MechanicalMagic. It's just the metal piece of the buckle so you can just keep it plugged in all the time.
