Decklid Lip Spoiler: Coupe vs. Convt.

Does anyone know why the 135i coupes receive the lip spoiler as standard equipment but the convertibles don't. It wasn't even an option/accessory. I suppose I could order it through the parts department. I just assumed my ragtop would have it since I got the M-Sport Pack, but apparently not.

the shape of the trunk on coupe and convertible are different.
you can get the BMW performance CF spoiler or if you just want a little touch of that try ebay and some seller can even paint that to the color you want for a bit extra. I saw some selling under $60.

So they actually have different decklid doors and the coupe's rubber lip spoiler won't fit the convert's trunklid? I would have thought it was an identical piece of sheetmetal. Strange that BMW just didn't fashion a lip spoiler fitted to the convert's decklid though. I'm not really crazy about the boy-racer look of the carbon fiber spoiler, as I prefer something more understated and body color. Hmm...

Same as you I think it is a good idea to keep the convertible not looking too aggressive. Mine is a bluewater metallic and of all the performance cosmetic parts look wrong with my color choice. I probably give the eBay 60 bux painted lip spoiler a try since they don't cost that much.

Save your money. I've seen some really cheap and poorly painted parts bought from fleabay
