UK 1M still in production?
I've read (on Wikipedia, mind) that BMW are going to keep manufacturing 1M into Spring.
I went to a couple of dealers last week and both happened to have one last 1M, about to go into production which is still available to spec for only a few days till the build is finalised. They both deny that any more than the initial 450 will be produced, for the UK at least. Is this the hard sell that I'm about to fall for or are they on the level? I dearly want the car but would be happier putting the order in the new year, if that's not too late. |

Given the popularity of the car there are customers who have a car scheduled to be built and have now pulled out.
The best idea (if you are in Europe/UK) is to see if there are any cars available in the allocation still to be built. This does not apply to North American customers.

I think I got one of the last UK 1Ms. Did the deal about 2 weeks after the Top Gear episode. The following weekend I know someone went to the same dealer and got turned away as all UK cars were allocated.
My car is build week 49 and expected to be with me in first few days of Jan. I don't imagine there are many, if any, still to be had. Good luck. |

I placed an order mid August but no allocation was available. Ended up with an AW cancellation...
Take it now or you will regret not doing so! Came out of a 2009 Nissan GT-R and am having just as much fun in the 1M. |

Thanks guys for the encouragement. Or maybe damn you guys, you just made me spend 45K. New VO number should be with be in time for Christmas assuming of course financial armageddon doesn't happen before then.
If anyone else is teetering on brink, Lloyd BMW at Newcastle have a (nearly) similarly loaded VO cancellation ready to buy off the forecourt arriving in a couple of weeks. |

Mine came from there, can't remember which but either the AW or VO car they had in the pipeline was planned to be a demo, but for obvious reasons they couldn't justify a demo for a sold out model!

If their "cancellation" is a demo model then they've definitely messed up as there will be almost none left to sell by the time their demo arrives!
I so nearly bought it, it was amazingly specced, if only it had the HK soundsystem which was the clincher |

That's what I mean, it was going to be their demo but decided they didn't need one so made the car available to sell!
