Which trunk mat to buy?

I'm looking through the accessories brochure and am trying to decide which trunk mat to get. Has anyone else bought one and how do you like it? Thanks.

Here are the 3 I'm considering:
Anti-Slip Mat $35.50
Fitted Luggage Compartment Mat $70
All-Weather Cargo Liner $70

I think All weather cargo mat would be your best one to get from that list. I am actually thinking about getting it. Has anyone here got any of these accessories?

I 've got the Fitted Luggage Compartment Mat. It fits really well, you still have access to the "sparetire without sparetire" compartment (because the mat is easy to lift). It's easy to remove and clean. Pretty happy with it.

I've got the all-weather cargo mat... I do like the quality and how rugged it feels, but I really question the fit. It does not fit the entire trunk space and notice how the deep lip tapers at the front. I have not tested it yet, but it seems anything wet or spilled in it will just run out on the carpet anyway.

I've also got the cargo net... It's really practical for my roadside kit, but as far as daily stuff like groceries, it has no use aside from keeping 12 packs of soda in place.

Best money I've spent on accessories has been the addition of all weather mats. Funny how they chose to use different anchor systems for the different mats. VW/Audi is really nice how you can use the same posts for both types of mats.

Thanks for the responses guys. Unless anyone can make a compelling argument for the luggage mat, the all-weather cargo it is.

Do any of you guys have the luggage compartment drawer? It seems like a good place to put things that will thrash around as I am driving balls to the wall

I am leaning towards the "J" mat when I get my car.

As a side note, I've seen some people post pages (like above) from a BMW accessories catalog. Is it available online somewhere, or are these all scans?

Yes, there is a sticky on the top of the General forum for the Accessories Brochure.

Has anyone hauled anything wet or muddy with their cargo-liner? Anything like ski boots, fishing gear, anything wet.
Like I said in my post, I'm curious if it will leak at the front where there is no lip.

Does anyone know if the rubber cargo liner will be the same for the E91? Our E91 should be in our garage by mid-week. I want to get the cargo mat right away but the dealer doesn't have a part # for it yet. I was thinking it might be the same one.

Thumbs up

It actaully was the same part number for the 2005 e46. the E91 is a wagon, you may want to make sure that you get the one for the wagon.

guess i'm the odd one out - there was no 'J' at my dealership... we opted for 'B' and it's working just fine. we've thrown bags of dirt/bark mulch from the home depot, as well as wet jackets & umbrellas in there.

for a trunk mat/liner - it does it's job. plus, it's easy to get to the spare tire-less compartment as well.

To those of you with the all weather trunk liner - Have you found it difficult to access the storage bin below with your trunk mat in place? And have you seen or heard if the "fitted" liner (pictured 'B' in above brochure @ top of thread) is better for the e90?

Trying to decide which to get. Thanks.
