It slipped my mind, but they make torque wrench testers or you could do what this guy did.

Espresso boy...I got my torque wrench a local tool shop and they checked the calibration for me and it has a 1 year calibration guarantee (if it goes out of wack they will fix it). I tried mine out just to make sure it was working and also so I would know how hard I need to pull on it. I do not need to pull to hard to get to 88lbs. I wish I could say that is becsue I am so amazingly strong but it is just the law of levers working in my favour.

Thanks! Hmmm I doubt Princess Auto does that. But I can sure return it if it doesn't work. Again thanks for the torque-tip. It's been so long, who was the OP anyway? LOL let me check. EspressoBoy K got it, 4wheelcycle, sorry for hijack your thread, but there is some good info in here... |
