I skipped PI in May, as whilst PI is good, visiting there two meetings in a row seemed a waste, so instead I did the hillclimb I few weeks before and I'll be there in June. |

This year I had good fun in those Alfas at my 1st AGP with some TMA folks.
That probably gives away what I drive without having identify myself here  Natsoft makes it far too easy find racing people with a simple few clues. Probably won't visit PI again this year after the June round. Though might do Island Magic if I know a good grid will come... |

Was replying to a guy in US. That's what they call their holidays, 'cause banks are closed..... At least that's what they call them in UK
What the hell would Queen's Birthday mean to him? Heck, I don't even know what it means to me. (Apart from a day off.... Sometimes)

Ah AussieRacer you were a victor driver?
We've probably definetly met then, I was part of the AGP medical crew as well. I had to laugh on the saturday when we lost three of those Alfas due to the weather.

Yeap a victor. And I didn't crash, so I think they'll have me back next year...
The weather issue with the Alfa wasn't so pleasant - luckily we let the firies know we were leaking fuel and to put us out before worrying about the F1s. The car that broke its rear suspension bushes took the cake though! |

Ah so you were with Brent in the car with the bleeder valve that stuck, I think I know who you are now  (Victor 2?) Those Alfas were a constant source of amusement. That was my first year with the F1s, I think I'll return next year as well.
Considered joining team medical? We also could do with victor drivers, especially with the MotoGP coming up. The V8 X5s are much nicer and they have their own TV's which means you don't need to park in front of the extrication vehicles to get a good view!

You know exactly who I am then......! And that race day view was worth the fuss and amusement at the med centre.
I started Thurs as Sierra 1, and then became Victor 4 (turn 8-9). I did have a really good time. I've done flags a few times as well so I definitely don't mind either side of the sport (in fact have a licence for both sides as well). Seriously let me know if you need help (send pm). |

Okay 2 things firsty I must say not Happy with the Fuel economy of the 120i convertible (which is my wifes car) we have had it since late Oct and she really hasnt done alot of km's about 2,800 but I am lucky to get 390km for a tank. Even when I have run the car to near empty I strugle to fit 45 liters into the car when I go and fill it. Not sure if its the fuel hose between the filler cap and tank or just the fuel pump nozel itself. Any thoughts ????
The second thing is I find it a little strange when people on here say they prefer BP Ultimate over Caltex Vortex etc especially in South East Queensland. We had a fuel shortage at the Caltex refinery up here due to a fire which resulted in Caltex and BP Fuel Stations not havinng any Vortex or BP Ultimate or BP Diesel / Caltex Diesel The Reason BP didnt have any fuel was due to BP rebranding Caltex fuel as there own. |

pacman my wife drives an e91 323 and her fuel economy isn't as good as my 135 vert. I usually manage about 400k's from my tank but I do a lot of country highway driving

Interesting, I wonder if that's why I've noticed a few Caltex Premium pumps in Perth being flagged as 'not in use' of late. I asked the pump operator on the weekend and she just shrugged and said "the truck just didn't turn up".
Now, I doubt that we'd ship that much fuel from Qld, but it is a bit sus.

17.5L/100km average from my 6.2L V8. However, since the last tank I've been babying it and it's returning 8.53L/100km, not too bad.

I get 8.0-8.5 on a trip to W/Gong and back and around 12.0 around town (now as I have 15,000km on the clock) My old M5 (2001) got 10.3 on the same trip and about 15.0 around town. Pretty good for a V8.
