No hard feelings Templedogg. ScottyGams was right when he said that wasn't intended directly for you, but to those who pay dealerships hundreds of dollars for expensive labour when they can easily do the work themselves with minimal work and minimal tools in 5 or 10 minutes.

I hope us 1Addicts can come up with interesting and fun DIYs for the rest of us to do.

P.S. I'm also not into trucks a whole lot but I sure can appreciate immaculate worksmanship. :respekt:

Bought 6500 color temp H8 bulbs.. 35watt. Before anybody else buys these, let me make sure they will really work. I should have them by week's ending.

Looking forward to finding out. This is the only car I have owned that I will drive with the running lights on all the time mainly because I think it looks so damn cool and the whiter the light the cooler it is.

When you change them can you please take a before pic, a pic with just one changed, and then an after pic with both changed? That will really show off the difference.

GP Thunder. I'll be sure to take before and after pics. I just hope they are not too blue. If they are, I'll go back to the stock color temp.

I am a little confused after reading the manual last night, perhaps it was late. I thought we have H8 35 watts for DRL and the xenon for headlight, but from what I read it seems to say the xenon is 35 watts H8 and there is a 55 watts for DRL and high beam?

I think ~6000k will be perfect but who knows how accurate those color temperature ratings are. I bet 6000k from one manufacturer will look exactly like 6500k from another.

To be honest, I thought they were LED. I was surprised to read they are H8. I guess I'll find out soon enough.. worse comes to worse, I only wasted $30.

LEDs draw different wattage usually, and cause the Check light to trigger, as if a bulb is out. Usually, if you use an LED setup, it has to have resistors to simulate proper wattage. If this new 55watt rating is true, then I probably won't be able to use the bulbs I bought.

Our's is the same as the 3 series. We run a 35 watt H8 bulb. So Larry you'll be fine with the GPThunders. Its the bulbs i'm picking up. The LED bulbs may be a tad bit brighter but for the extra $165 your saving you can do pedal set and shift lever...or floor mats. The DRL's are not for lighting up a roadway. Having the brightest thing on there will be diminishing returns for your money.

Which color temperature are those bulbs that you have installed? I see 7500k and 8500k bulbs out there for sale.

I am thinking those are 7500k but I would like to confirm.
