performance for 135i N55

Anyone got any ideas on getting 250 kw from a 135i and staying inside BMW warranty?

PPK will be good for 240kw, I'm sure you could squeeze an extra 10kw with an exhaust.

I guess he means 250kW at the wheels. PPK won't get close to that.

I don't mean to be blunt but unfortunately it won't happen. Either get used to the power you have or get used to no warranty. That said, should you mod your car and are in need of a warranty claim you can always try your luck by putting it back to stock.

Unless you replace your stock sub frame bushings and/or other suspension parts keep the car stock with respect to power IMO. More power will only magnify the crappy stock suspension.

That could depend on your dealership.

I had no problems having a oil leak fixed under warranty. I didnt bother removing the jb4 or changing the map to 0 or putting the catted downpipe back in.
The dealership wasnt even the one I use for regular servicing.
Unsure of power level but at the drags it did 12.6 113 mph if anyone can calc kw from that

Is there a reason why you want that much power?
its only going to cause wheel spin - which means more money spent on tires lol
if you like to have fun, increase the handling. eg coilovers etc

Don't hold your breath......

Cobb have said that even if they get around to 2012/13 cars, they don't intend to support it? Whatever that means

Will let you know in a week or two. My Cobb V3 Accessport has just arrived from the states and will do the install after it goes to the dealership for a service.

This has been a long time coming, I can't wait

N55 POWER

Hi all
The N55 is a bugger to get much more than 270kw atw.
We have done a few now, the issue is the turbo with regard to flow and boost.

The engine has been a bit of a surprise with its power / torque and with DCT will give a N54 powered car a good run

With COBB and a custom tune with some good bolt parts the N55 is not the total loss we once thought it was. it just needs an RB turbo to bring out the best, they will be a reality some time soon.

Another option is the Vargas turbo upgrade which already has the prototype test fitted on a car (details are on German Boost). This is a stock frame turbo that they reckon will be good for up to 500whp if you have the supporting mods.

We are still waiting to see the dyno sheets comparing the RB / Vargas turbos for the N54 setup from Vargas, so don't hold your breath for the N55
I think I would hold off for the RB HI flow.

I know some of the kits are taking a lot longer than he said they would, but there are lots of dynos of N54s with Vargas turbos.
Have you had a bad experience with Vargas? Genuinely curious as a potential future customer.

Not at all as we are a Vargas dealer / installer we are also a Rob Beck dealer and have used many of his turbos with excellent results.
Its all about the service
