I read TGA magazine in the book store earlier and they really rate the new S3 over the 135i. They reckon it handles much better. Although they still stay the twin turbo's are better than one...

I sold my 2007 S3 to buy the 135i as even after a remap taking it to 309 BHP, it just couldn't excite me. It felt too "safe" and turbo lag is quite bad, so it bogs down very easily when trying to get away sharpish without serious abuse to the clutch and even then the 4WD system actually cuts the torque.
The 135 is worlds apart for fun and brute force accelleration. The S3 is very nice, but just didn't float my boat as an exciting car to drive. |
