Very satisfied so far. Ride is firmer but not more uncomfortable than the stock springs. End of July we're going to the Nordschleife together with a stock 1M to feel the differences on track.

Installation + alignment will take easily 3 hours.

On bad surfaces maybe a little more bumpyer than stock suspension but better than stock on good roads with almost no bodyroll. In general very satisfied.

To me, it's a smart consideration. I drive my cars on the street and don't track them. Thus, I don't mess with the ride height, especially when living in a 4 seasons location, where I'd rather not plow the snow. Just because the ride height may not be perfect for looks, I'm sure BMW calibrated the overall suspension tune to take necessary ride height into consideration. Some of us value function over style. The drop may look nice to some, but it's doubtful that there is appreciable handling increase on the street at street speeds. At the track, that's a different thing altogether, and that's where it may make sense to fiddle with the OEM suspension, especially on an M. But that's just and my view. |
