Clarifying Ohlins R&T Offerings for 1M

After reading through some previous threads on Ohlins for the 1M I am confused...

Is there a specific set for the 1M with different valving and spring rates?

It seems that EAS has different prices for 1M and E9x M3, while some other retailers do not differentiate.

Obviously I'd like to buy a 1M specific setup if it is available. And would like to know where to get the best deal if this is true.

Thanks,
Chris

Yes there is a slight difference with the valving on the rears and rear springs are have less weight based on the lighter E82 chassis. Fronts are the same spring weight based on what I was told. Check w/ Adam at GMP Adam@gmpperformance.com I was one of the first to get the 1M specific kit and he helped tremendously.

Slightly different valving and spring rates as the 1M is lighter.

The honest answer is that the difference is very minimal as 12kg rear spring rates will work just fine on the M3 and the 1M. 11Kg would be a good street rate, but slightly on the softer side for track.

You will also get rear adjustable extenders that aren't part of the E9x M3 kit.

Let us know if you have further questions as we have sold and installed more BMW Ohlins R&T than anyone in the US.
