Guys I used this DIY form the E90 post since our suspension is almost identical to the E90.
http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15397

It worked great, in the rear I disconnected the outer bolt instead of the inner one of the control arm like someone on that forum suggested and completed both sides in about 1.5 hrs and that was taking my time. Just read all the pages before start. Hope this help.

for the rear - how many bolts did you remove? i remove the outer bolt, strut bolt, and tie rod bolt .. it went down but got stuck on the outer part of the brakes ... not so sure how to approach this .. i really dont want to take apart my camber bolt. also any trick to put it back together? it took me like an hr to align the 2 bushing to put back the outer bolt !

picture would help alot thanks!

Those are the bolts that I removed, just push the arm down and remove the spring. Transfer the rubber pieces to the new spring and to install, reverse the removal process. On one of the arms you need to remove the leveling arm mechanism, believe its two 10mm bolts. Hope this help.

Yes it on the driver side, and you have to push down hard

Cover the top shock with some towel when you put it out prevent scratch the fenders also need to reset the service light after you done cause when you unplugged the brake sensors it will go off. Front should be easy have fun
I torque my wheels at 90lbs

I just did it using http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=15397. I DO NOT RECOMMEND using this DIY for ANY Suspension work. At least not for the front. The below is a MUCH superior method.

http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showp...2&postcount=11

If I saw this earlier it would've saved me much agony and pain on working with the spring compressors while the assembly is still mounted. It was an obscenely stupid way to do it.

Agreed, so much easier to remove the whole strut. Worst case is you need to hammer down in the hub assembly a little but it does come out.
