Do we have that google map route thing linked anywhere? whose leading? My vote is anyone but Mo. last time he thought it'd be cool to pull a 7 minute (yes, minutes) lead on me lmao

I still don't know what your problem was. I kept pace with him on my winters just fine

I'm hoping you are although I know the route from Perkins to Storm King well. I know you guys had 1 drive w/o me where you went beyond Storm King so it would be nice if we had this route plotted on Google Maps memorialized.

Ok, I can handle that. I was talking to a forum guy who has a couple of routes from his motorcycle forum too, so I'll get those and try to incorporate anything that looks fun.

Newcomers always welcome! Don't worry, I tend to drive slower on roads where I can see a drop due to my fear of heights so I'll be towards the back of our group.

ughh my better judgment is telling me not to go
I just calculated getting to Bear Mountain, making the spirited drive, then Eurofest then back home is about 400-450 miles of road. I don't think it's prudent to do this on my winters... damn summer wheels and tires will take another 2-3 weeks to get to me, it's killing me. |

Here is the route
For all of you who have gone on this cruise before, it is essentially the same run that Ray would take us on. I changed the U-Turn after Storm King Rd so we don't have to drive through the town. IF everyone has an EZ Pass, we will take the Bear Mt. Bridge to the goat path, hit the roundabout at the end of it and loop back before heading to Storm King. Since I'm into sailing, I have two VHF Marine radios. I'll bring them and the car at the back can use the other one so we can make sure no one gets separated. If anyone else happens to have a VHF radio, bring it.

If anyone is an early bird, I'm going to be at the top of Perkins Memorial Drive @ 8AM to do a test run and make sure the route is the way I remember it. If anyone wants to show up early and get a run in before the cruise, let me know.

Are you guys still planning on lunch somewhere? I don't know if I can make it, but I'll see if I can show up somewhere along the way.

No tentative lunch planned, all depends on how long the cruise takes. Figure we can hit up Barnstormer BBQ on 9W or that other restaurant we went to last time on 17. Give me a call that day and I'll let you know where we are - worst case we can all meet up afterwards at EuroFest in Wayne.
