Alcantara itself is pretty expensive (~$100/yard). I bought faux stuff (texsuede...$30/yard) from yourautotrim.com (automotive fabrics section)

Thanks man! Has there been any fading on your end? I got some cheap black suede from joann's probably a year or two ago, and after all that sun damage, it's pretty faded.

I've sold the car but it didnt have any issues. The stuff from that website has uv protetction in it.

i would stick with alcantara. there are lots of imitations but they aggregate lint and fade and don't feel nearly as nice. if you're gonna do it once spend the money and do it right i say!
i would love to do the whole headliner and all the pillars......one day! |
