Lightbulb Need Help: Carbon fiber diffuser with 3 fins

Hi guys. Been searching around for the perfect rear carbon diffuser for my 135i. Few options left for something that I really want. iCarbon is catching my eyes with their 3 fins diffuser. I know they are out of business already but do you guys know any possibility to get their products again?

If buying a used one the only possibility, I would search for one. Do you guys know any other carbon diffuser that has 3 fins? It looks unique for me and it stands better to me.

Please help me out guys. Comments and opinions are highly appreciated. Pictures will be perfect. Thank you guys!

I've had a cheap carbon fiber diffusor for over 1 year and it looks as good as the day I installed it!

I have the second one, with 2 fins, BMW Performance Style part. it fit pretty well and arrived very quickly from China, to my surprise.

it cost about 80-85 to ship IIRC, and the 5 foot rule is in effect at all times. (looks GREAT from 5 feet away, but up close you can see the seam on the CF, but honestly, it doesn't bother me that much considering that it was 25% of the cost of the BMW part)

All carbon fiber parts without UV protection will yellow as a result of sitting in the sun.

There's two ways to avoid this- either get it clear coated properly, as most CF parts come with the gel coat only, or treat it with a product that has UV protection during your detailing.

Obviously, hoods, roof caps, and wings are more susceptible to this. IMO, you'll be fine for a while with a diffuser.

Okay. I do understand about yellowing problem. Actually I don't really want to buy the one made in China, I prefer something reputable like iCarbon, agency, or whatever. Buying one that made in China is not bad but it's just my nature of satisfaction, especially because I know the quality of China's product.

Any idea what other brands make 3 fins carbon diffuser?

Anyone knows the fitment of this diffuser?
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-E82-1-Se...8f4d7b&vxp=mtr

It looks quite expensive for Hongkong diffuser but is it true about their description? They said it has perfect fitment and real cf and bla bla bla. Looks legit but still its made in Hongkong. Please five me input on this. Thanks

Good lord, $500 shipped? I'd offer them $350 shipped (via the make offer button) if you were actually going to try this part out.

Yap, for sure I will use the best offer option but I'm wondering about the quality and stuffs. He told me that it is truly lightweight cf and he did mention I could use the original fastener. Should I get additional fastener if I buy a diffuser?

Eh, as far as it being "lightweight", it's probably just as lightweight as any other CF-wrapped fiberglass piece.

I haven't seen anyone on the forum use this particular vendor yet, but the fitment seems to be pretty good in the picture. I'd expect it to be the same as the other pieces from China- ok, but not perfect. For that reason, I personally wouldn't pay any more than anyone else is for the same pieces (low to mid 300s shipped).

Okay. Actually he did mention about the UV coated thing and also real cf thing. Did you read the description? I'm not so sure but he also sells maseratti stuff, such as carbon lip for about $1,300 not shipped. Does he look legit to you? Should I buy it if I could get it $350 shipped.

He also offers new product if in case its defective and misalign or whatsoever

If you want to be a hero to the forum and try out a new vendor, go for it.

If he's offering higher-end pieces also, you may be okay, but we won't know until someone guinea-pigs it.

If fitment is 100% and the weave is straight, it would be worth more than $350 shipped. As you're taking a gamble, I can't really recommend paying more than that. See if the vendor will work out a deal with you pending a review on the site.
