Front Turn Signal Malfunction Warning

Amber corner bulb intermittently out, if I push down in the stalk the turn signal sounds much more rapid, 2x as fast (and cuts off in half the time). Left corner is fine and left signal works fine. Then after 10 mins of driving the right corner works and warning goes away. What gives? I haven't messed with any LED type bulbs or angel eyes.

Could possibly have a faulty ground somewhere.

For example, the E46s they had bad grounds in the rear taillights and mine did this all the time until I added another ground and replaced the connection.

Had a similar issue with my E46. Check the bulb socket to see if it degraded at the point of connection with the bulb. I ended up replacing the socket to correct the problem.

Weird thing is car is only 8 months old. I wonder if one too many potholes caused bulb to get loose.

Problem is 1) takes 3 weeks to make an appointment with dealer and 2) I suspect they might try to blame me for the bulb error because of my V1 hardwired to fuse box and/or putting clear film over the headlights (housing heated up too much as a result). Both not true but we know how stealerships can be...

Had this problem in my E30. I can't remember what the fix was. Might have been the socket.

I think it's the same, one too many potholes perhaps. I'll take a look after work today.
