In the end, things have worked out well; I'll miss that car a lot.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.

Wow! Sorry to hear about your car. At least you have replacement cost coverage to help you be able to purchase a comparable vehicle since you can't replace the 1M with another new one.

Is your car already the one listed on eBay? They say fresh water, and it's out of AB, that's why I ask.

Thanks in advance

Don't understand why you keep saying 1m is irreplaceable and hence have to get m3. There are plenty of 1ms to be had. Do you just not want another one if it's gently used?

They are rare, regardless of where you are.

Yep...

That's my car; signature windscreen wipers and all, lol. Certainly not the freshest of water that it was in, but great for someone looking for parts I guess.

Slightly off topic, but related...Is anyone tracking the specific VINs that are shuffling off of this mortal coil? It would be interesting to keep track as members of the clan crump. Not sure if our current registry has this data.

hey it was locally available, you shoulda come to the auction!

i guess pretty much any flood damaged car has the chance of some degree of "sewer" touching it, but its pretty darn clean looking and smelling for sitting at the bottom of a septic tank!

The water most likely shorted the circuit, causing alarms to go off. A garage full of car alarms going off, screaming for help but to no avail, and as water continue to rise and submerged the cars, they probably gave off a last yelp before going dead competely.

Was it a public auction, or just for recyclers?

If you're no longer selling it whole on eBay (auction ended with no buyer) I'd like to get the wheels.

Your replacement car can be found in Edmonton if you are still interested in a VO 1M:
