Your "Official" 1SMC Birthday

So my fiancee and I were discussing what constitutes the "real" birthday of the vehicle, since I am incessantly calling the order update hotline. Would the birthday be the day it rolls of the line, or the day I pick it up? She argued that it would be pickup, because, though a baby might be ready to roll, you can't do anything with it until it is delivered, strictly speaking.

I know, I know...I need

I would say the day it rolls off the assembly line - not the day you "adopted" it You can get the "production" date from your dealer.

The day the baby comes (rolls) out is the bday not the day it comes home from the hospital (dealer)

I think your wife is right.

The 1st day of production is conception,

The production period is equivalent to the gestation,

And finally, the deliver is the delivery. The length of time is significantly longer than human delivery, unless you do a c-section or also known as ED.

Off topic and probably trolling a little (sorry!)

Can we just call it the 1M? BMW is bad enough with their weird and convoluted naming schemes lately (Z4sDrive35is!).

Back to topic.

Agree w/ Rog, day it complete production.

+2. I agree on both points. 1M is a little easier...I argued with the fiancee that "birthday" is when she rolls off the line and that the delivery at dealer is just the celebration. I'm working on it...
