Trouble removing charge pipe - N55

I have to be doing something wrong but I can't figure it out. I pulled the quick disconnect out as far as it will go and have been pulling on the damn thing for 20 minutes. It won't budge. Any ideas? If I could get the air box off I'd be able to get a better look at it so that's what I'm going to work on next.

You need to get the airbox off to do this. I did the samething you did and when I removed the airbox it all slid out. There is also a screw that connects the Charge pipe at the middle to the airbox and there is also a clamp that holds it to another hose at the section closest to the front bumper. Get that airbox off and remove the duct that comes from the front of the car and connects at the box.

Thank you. I did remove the front section and the screw already. Any tips on how to remove the bottom portion of the air box? I only see 2 plastic pins holding it in but I'm not sure how to remove them.

NM. I got it. You just pull up on it on each of the 3 plastic pins and slide the wiring harnesses out on the back.

Nope. Still no go getting the charge pipe off. It's as if there's something holding the bottom of it. I've even tried changing the position of the quick disconnect thing. I can wiggle it enough to see about a milometer of the shiny part under the pipe. I was pulling on it hard enough to hear the gas swishing in the tank and it still won't come off.

Did you get the sensor disconnected? Looks like it is positioned fairly obviously on the N55. It's a few inches from the throttle body, on the back side of the bend looking into the engine bay.

You have to pull straight outward from the throttle. It's kinda tricky to get them to pop off the seal created by the gasket.

I got it. The problem was that I assumed the disconnect piece worked the same way as the ones on the intercooler do. Those just pop out about 1/2 in and they are free. For the charge pipe I had to pull that sucker the whole way off. Once I did that it came out real easy. Getting the CP-e charge pipe on was a bit of a pain too because it comes out so much further than stock that it rests on the power steering hoses up against the inner fender. I don't like that at all but it is what it is.
