Ive read the 1er car buyers guide, very informative. found an 09 135 I from a bmw dealer in Tenn. 147,000 miles for $10.6 my only alternative to get one of these cars is to trade plus pay off my balance on current ride.

Its 344 miles away too I'm hesitant because of mileage should I run away?

It seems to be stock exept for wheels as far as I can tell.

I plan on it come Saturday if I'm off work, there is a lot of interior wear such as bolsters, shifter knob etc. I would hate to drive that far and have to come back empty handed because of dishonesty. It is not CPO but is at a dealership.

Suspension probably needs a rebuild too. Shocks and bushings and it will feel like new.

Ehhh.... increase your budget as that car seems to be poorly treated... = will cost you more than getting a cleaner car for a little more money

Dont jump the gun either. Make a list of features you want. 1as most important to least. Take your time. I waited and got a sweet car with 27k miles for $18k. Mint 0 issues just needed front tires and an alignment that the dealership care of

Seat side bolsters wear like that - not unusual and they can be cleaned up (surprised the dealership didn't use a little colored leather balm to 'fix' those).

What troubles me is the wear on the shifter - that indicates to me that the previous owner rested their hand on the shifter rather than shift and release.

Keep searching . . .

Brrapp - I learned the shifter wear the hard way many moons ago (before the end of the last ice age ; -) - I owned a FIAT 128 and had the car in for tranny service (the synchros wear out on the boat coming over, FIAT was known as Fix It Again Tony for a reason).

The tech asked me if I left my hand on the shifter while driving and I asked how he knew. Well it wears groves in the shift forks by damping the vibrations. And with that I was cured of resting my hand on the shifter.

I wanted nav (or so i though) until i tried a 3 series with it... IMO the business radio has everything i need. Nav is redundant since i use it on my smart phone. Plus i bought an awesome bluetooth adapter plugs into aux. Phone calls/nav/music/ everything through that. Plus it takes away the cup holder for my coffee
