Cool IPOD DVD/TV on your Nav screen

Hi Everyone
My name is Dominic of www.TVandNav2Go.com.
Yes we make the mod to convert your New BMW3/5 and 6 series nav screen to a DVD, TV, PS2 backup camera etc. If your car has nav then it has an 8.8" screen. Our 8.8" unit will let you display 8.8" on 8.8" (streched) or display them 6.5" on an 8.8" screen (NOT streched). You will be able to select this in the menu. Our 6.5" unit is for cars with no Nav. This will display 6.5" on 6.5". You will have 4 video inputs, 3 audio inputs and 1 audio outputs. The mod is Plug and Play and takes NO time to install. If your car doesn't have nav you can also use our unit to add an after market nav to your car. The cost of the mod is $550. Feel free to call us at 718-763-7367.
Thanks Dominic of www.TVandNav2Go.com

I'd be interested in a group buy if available. What are the video inputs? RCA, SVideo, etc? Audio inputs? Thanks.

I'm in for one. I see that you are in Brooklyn. Perhaps you can install this in my car for me? And I can display it for the rest of the e90 community.

Dominic, you guys need to update your website, because I see no reference to the 2006 BMW 3-series. Remember, this is the e90 site.

For those e90 folk out there...

When Dominic says "The unit comes in 2 different version 1 for the 8.8" screen (nav) and 1 for the 6.5" screen (no Nav)", and you scratch your head saying what 6.5" screen with No Nav... its because this unit works with the 5&6 series that come with a iDrive screen by default (b/c the Nav feature is an additional option).

So if you have an e90 without Nav/iDrive, the above really doesn't apply to you. Though I guess it might apply to those outside of the USA with the Business Navigation which I believe has the 6.5" screen. Just making sure everyone was on the same page.

I'm interested, but I'd have to see it installed and working before I could say yes - at the moment I cannot even find the 3-series version on your web-site (or at least no reference to the E90).

The other really important thing is, for those of us outside the US:

1. Do you do international orders ?
2. Will this system work while the car is moving - BMW disables the TV when the car is moving or not in Park.
3. You say the system is plug and play - where does it plug in ? Do we need to uninstall our CD stacker or another piece of equipment, or do we need to get a screw driver and disassemble the front Nav display console ?

If the above questions are answered, I'd be interested in a group buy also.

I am interested but have a few questions. Do we also need an external DVD player or will the DVD player we have with the NAV work? If we do need a external DVD player do you have any that mount in the glove box?

Hi Everyone
1) Yes we ship world wide.
2) Yes you will have video in motion.
3) The mod is Plug and Play behind the Nav Screen.
4) Unit works on Pal and NTSC for overseas customer.
5) The front of the web page says 6 Series E63, E64, 5 Series E60 and New 3 Series RGB units now available!
The new 5/6 and 3 series units are the same interface.

Hello Dominic, I purchased a kit and I was charged tax. Out of state orders don't get charged tax. My antennae is not working as well, have not installed it but looks like I got a faulty antennae. If you e-mail me to resolve these problems, it will show me and others you do business honestly.

Cool IPOD DVD/TV on your Nav screen

Hi Sunchild
Thanks for your order. You were NOT charged tax, the receipt says tax because of the way our program works, but if you call your credit card company or look at your credit card bill you will see that you were charged the amount WITHOUT TAX. When you called 3 weeks ago about the antenna Vinny told you that if the antenna is defective to ship it back and we would exchange it. How does an antenna look faulty???? Please install it and see if its defective, you can't tell by looking at it, if its defective then return it. All our equipment has a 1 year warranty, so its not a problem, ship it back if you think that its faulty. You can go to the www.E60.net forum or http://www.acurazine.com/forums where we have sold over 300 RGB units there and you can see that our customer service and quality is 2nd to none.
P.S. Everyone the unit that Sunchild has with antenna's is a VERY old unit that we no longer make. This unit used to have built in TV tuner. We gave Sunchild a special deal on this unit because we had some old units in stock. The new units don't have TV tuner but have more inputs, features and work on PAL and NTSC. If you need TV Tuner we have dvd players with built in TV tuner.

Sunchild next time please share with the forum members where you bought the unit, so they can enjoy there unit as much as you are ejoying yours.

Thanks Dominic of www.TVandNav2Go.Com

My antennae signal fades in and fades out on its own, having nothing to do with air signals, I've tested this outside in different places.

And the monitors do not have ANY space for the unit to be installed behind the BMW monitor.

And Vinny never told me that, I left two messages with the receptionist and I never got a call back. But I appreciate your willingness to come through and solve what needs to be solved. Thank you.
