+ 1 that's great value.

In the end, I would still wait for the new X5. I can't justify buying cars at the end of their life cycle unless I'm willing to trade up at the time. Latest is greatest!

Stopped in at Brisbane BMW.
The 82 k is a white base model with no innovation pack and no options. One only. On the floor. Don't know what build month.
They are giving big haggles today tomorrow though.
Within 10 minutes I had another 10k off plus the free 9k innovations pack.

just to get this right....i assume the free innovations (which is the current promo) and the $10k off was on the list price, not the white one on the showroom floor? what was the spec of this car?

Two cars.
82k is white with no options. one only in stock. 30d.
I'm not interested in this one.

A custom build is what i asked about. 30d with innovations, metallic paint and comfort access. Normally 117k, but with the free innovations deal, some haggling and the EPP discount on dealer delivery, they said yhey would do it for high nineties.
Bargain.
My problem is they said they think my six month old X3 has depreciated over $20k.
Ouch.
Double ouch.

I'd have to sell it privately and i have no idea what i would get for it.
On the positive front a new X3 30d still has a three month wait list, so i might get a good price for it.

What to do?

Damn, Double Damn and Triple Damn this thread.

I pulled the trigger on a new X5 30D today...
This thread is TOTALLY to blame!

Now I have to sell the X3 30D M Sport.
Arghhh!

PM me if you want a nearly new fully optioned X3 in CB including custom rear seat DVD/DTV, available for delivery in Sept.

You could buy my 30D though to upgrade your 20D.
I'm sure that woudl soften the pain you are feeling from my betrayal...

Sorry to revive such an old thread but I'm in the same boat as to whether to get a x3LCI 30d vs F15 x5xdrive 25d or F15xdrive 30d demo for about the same price. I was quoted $97k for x30d LCI . Any more room for haggling? I dont need such a big car but it's more value for money long term as I will be keeping the car for atleast 5 years.

I drove the Pre-lci x3 over the weekend love the power and the drive but I can't seem to get a good deal for the Pre-lci therefore not worth it as it's not a new car plus asking for $85k for a 2013 nov registered which is still 1 year old depreciation with 4k on the clock. I dont see it as big incentive to get LCI.

Have you considered the X4? I know it's not to everyone's taste, but I think it's different enough to be cool.

I was also wondering X3 Vs X5 but have decided to go the X5 route, due to larger space and easier family moving etc.

Given what you've said above, I reckon the X5 is the better buy, mostly because of depreciation issues on the X3.

what if i get the lci model of the x3? i know it's not a new platform unlike the x5 e70>f15. But I dunno i'm in this dilemma !! coz the x3 is also close to the Porsche MACAN pricing range assuming you don't option much on the macan.
