Lowering on Eibach Pro only - Question?

Thinking about getting some springs to lower my stance, but also want wider tires ( 225/40 & 255/35 ). Has anyone done this or know anybody that has, and can tell me if rubbing will occur?

Cheers

A lot of owners like the H&R springs which gives the 1 Series a "bulldog-like" stance.

As for the Eibachs, they're a bit softer and I've heard they have a pretty decent ride.

I had the Eibachs, I liked the stance better then HR. It drops more even around IMO. HR has the front lowered a bit more from my observation, aka the bull dog look mentioned above. Ride was smooth for DD but don't think you can take it auto-crossing.

Eibach has an even drop all around while H&R gives the car an aggressive rake. Depends on the look you prefer, they are both high quality and well regarded here.

I had the stock wheels with a fairly slammed ride. I changed to Nitto 555's with that 225 255 setup. No rubbing. Of course tire brands will have varying sidewalls, etc. so can't speak for other tire brands.

That's not the case at all. My Eibach's lowered the front a hell of a lot more than the rear.

M135 - Thanks for the feedback and PIC. That is exactly the profile I'm looking for. Do you have spacers installed?

The front is dropped somewhat more than the rear with Eibach's, but still nowhere near the rake you get with the H&R's...

Maybe I got the only Eibachs that didn't lower the rear much at all, but the fronts are tucking...

I found this, tucking is a good way to describe the fronts, rears sit up a bit more but level out when you have a load in the boot (trunk).
It is probably the same drop all around because i think the rear sat up more on the stock suspension anyway.
I am used to the look now.

Same problem here with Eibach. Hate the raked look I like the ride though, but going to upgrade for a more decent stance, to some of the KW's coilovers..

"Bulldog" or "RAKE"?

H&R pics I have seen look too low in front (in general, but especially compared to the rear)

Same setup on Breyton's - front is tucked, rear has a small gap. Love the stance, happy with the ride (a bit choppy for daily driving, but to be expected from just lowering springs). No rubbing issues at all.

Here's my 128 with Eibach/Koni FSD combo. NOt as low as some of the spring only pics. Perfect even drop, no rake and a nice ride to boot.
