So decided to empty my BMS Catch Can today for the second time in 4 months since i installed it. I emptied the can about two months ago also. I've done about 1500klms since then and I don't really drive the car that hard. Quite impressed by the amount of oil it caught. Imagine after a few years of driving without one. All that oil would be lining your FMIC/piping and CP.

We have had one of these in our show room for a couple of weeks now, i will fit it to Justin's car very soon pre track day. Nice looking bit of kit but a bit small in capacity.
We will see how good it is after the track day. Last edited by Kiwi Peter; 04-01-2012 at 02:19 AM.. |

Nice video Edwin. I look forward to emptying mine in a couple months. I was really impressed with the quality of the OCC and the stealth design.

JB135i, where do I order one of these?
Also is there any benefit for use on 1M with no mods, but ~ monthly track use? |

Just wondering... Its great to have a catch can to get rid of all the muck that otherwise passes through and I'm not debating that (though some other threads may) but what I want to know is why if you get RB turbos, they recommend not to have one? :
Np, found it! Last edited by yawn; 04-01-2012 at 04:40 PM.. |

Definitely worth getting one mate, even on a stock 135i. You'll be surprised how much oil you will pick up over a few months. It's dependent on how you drive and the amount of mileage. If you're doing a monthly track day then I highly recommend it, small investment that will protect your engine in the long term.

It's really good value. I've seen a few other OCC come out over the years but they've all had issues, some even leak! The HPF OCC looked promising but it was over $500. The BMS OCC has been out for a few months and I haven't heard of any issues with it and it's well priced. I can't comment on whether I've collected any oil as I've only put mine in recently, however the quality fit and finish is excellent. I have a feeling you will collect more oil than Edwin due to your regular track days so it's very worthwhile in your case.

Hey Alik, just order it from the Burger Motorsport website. Here's the link. http://www.burgertuning.com/BMW_335_oil_catch_can.html |
