Loud clicking when turning wheel all the way left

Whenever I'm backing out of my driveway (I back out to the left) I hear this clicking noise coming from the front right wheel area. It's only when I have the wheel turned all the way to the left.

I think I remember a very similar noise on my Infiniti G35. The problem then was a bad axle. Does this sound like a similar problem?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I'm assuming the clicking you're hearing is rotational? IE: The faster you are moving the faster it clicks?

Could be a loose end-link or end-links on their last legs(worn joints). Have someone turn the wheel while you observe. If you can somehow put your finger on the end-link or joint to feel for a pop or noise, you know you have it narrowed down.

i had similar clicking with extreme right turns on my previous daily driver, and they discovered it to be a cracked control arm.

any updates on the clicking?

If i turn my wheel all the way in one direction, then go to turn it back the opposite direction i get a slight pop feeling from the steering wheel. Similar to that?

Not sure what it is, always wondered...

My car clicks on turns both directions every once and a while. Usually under moderate to severe cornering at lower to moderate speeds, and retorquing my wheels usually fixes it.

Turn it and see if you are rubbing the screw on the vent behind our oil cooler area. I had to remove one retaining screw during European inspection because I was rubbing it, no clicking though. It was the same way you explained, you may be pulling the vent away momentarily, again and again, thus making the clicking sound. Probably worth looking to see if you rub in there while parked with the wheel turned all the way. Good luck!

Sorry just now getting back to this topic.

Yes, the faster I turn, the faster the noise.

Ideas?
