So... Warranty is up in 4 days
or another 1200 miles and I (*Crosses fingers) have litterally NOTHING to complain about. I really wish I could find a problem, if one existed, NOW before the warranty is over, but I can't. I am afraid the day after my car will burn to the ground. LMAO.
So, guys & gals, why am I so worried? I do have an occasional blower noise when the A/C is on only from the passanger side vents. When I am going faster than 50 the ac no matter what speed will making a loud humming noise sort of like if the window is crakced and letting air in the car or a bad window seal. When you turn the A/C off, it goes away. Of course, BMW does it at idle, cant replicate it, and tells me there is no issue. WTF... Anyone else have any of these issues? Anything else I should have them check? Pretty worried actually ... Thanks all. |

I'm 14 days away. I recently had fuel injectors go out and BMW replaced 3 of them, meaning there are still 3 old fuel injectors waiting to die on day 15.

Using a "top tier" fuel or any ol fuel? Wondering if that might be a common denominator to early injector problems?

I guess no one has any input for me to be concered with so I guess I must be over reacting. :/
My injectors (all of them) have been replaced a year ago along with the HPFP and ONLY Top Tier gas for me. (93 Octane) |

I'm in the same boat, my warranty is up in early August but my car has had at least a mild repair at least once a month since I got it a year ago, from headlights to turbos. I might get a local shop to give me a full thorough check-through of the car and then have my local bmw service department fix EVERYTHING. Or I may consider going to a different BMW service center for my final service. I haven't quite decided yet. How long is a replacement part warrantied? and if said replacement part is warrantied is the replacement for the replacement also warrantied for an equal length interval of time?

My SA told me when I asked this at the time I had my turbos replaced. A replacement part is warranted until the current warranty expires. For me that meant another 33 miles (I had 49,967 miles on my car at the time of turbo disaster) A customer paid replacement part (ie no warranty or expired) is warranted 2 years / 24K miles.

My dealership warranties work done for an additional 2 yrs/unlim miles for any part fixed or replaced (whether in or out of warranty).
My SA is saying though that since I am not even close to 45k miles I wont be able to get spark plugs & oil change for the 45k mile service under warranty. Is there any way to circumvent this? (I am at 33k miles.) Quote:

Warranty actually ends tomorrow, ya'll, not the 10th. went in today for my last free oil change, they are replacing the horns because the no longer make any noise... and documented the A/C noise once again. I was told as long as there is an issue documented they will still honor it after warranty period, generally speaking. I also got a another free cup holder due to the little flap inside breaking off. Previous service records indicate the notorious HPFP has been replaced already, along with the injectors, plugs, rear brake light, and also the selonoid.
I "should" be good.... I hope. lol |

I'm in the same boat. Warranty ends on the 22nd of this month. Car was in a week ago for a misfire and they replaced all the injectors and walnut shelled the intake valves. I was happy they did both of those as I was going to have them done on my dime so I knew those things were done as the car exited the warranty.
I've been really happy with my 135, 43k miles and the only issues I've had are the 3rd taillight, seat buckle recall, (HPFP and injectors recalled and replaced before I got the car with 27k miles) and recently the misfire with the subsequent repairs under warranty. |
